Tragic story. Johnny's entire life was boxing. His lifeless body was carried out of that Olympic Auditorium in LA with hordes of drunken Mexican animals throwing piss all over him and his cornermen. Absolutely disgusting. There was a very touching doc called The Long Journey where Dick Owen, Johnny's father met, and forgave, Lupe Pintor. Pintor then visited Methyr to unveil The Matchstick Man's statue.
