It really is a top level fight between the top guys in their respective division. It'll be interesting to see if Dawson can fond the aggression he needs to be effective here. Hopefully it doesnt turn into a glorified sparring session.

He lost a close enough fight in Canada, he finished strong with a bad cut and may have stopped him if he hadnt have been stopped due to the bleeding. Pascal fought in spurts of 30 seconds and the home crowd really effected the judges. He got hustled basically. But he definitely fought a shit fight that night. I think he'd have beaten Pascal in a rematch, but Jean got destroyed by B hop, so in turn the only thing Dawson could do was beat Bhop, which he did.

He's struggled to get meaningful fights, but I'm looking forward to seeing how he takes on this challenge.

I didnt give Dawson much in that fight tbh, he was just as hurt early on as Pascal was late on. Dawsons robbed Johnson in the past aswell. I cant see how anyone would favour Dawson v Ward, Froch or Kessler.....id fancy Pascal in a rematch aswell. This fight has Ward UD written all over it, however there may be question marks about how Ward copes at a higher weight than hes use to so its worth a watch.

I think Ward won his Gold at Light Heavy?

I think Froch is a far better fighter than Dawson, but I ament sure he'd beat him at that weight. Remeber Dawson knocjked the shit out of Adamek at 168 before moving up. He's not a bad fighter, he just went sterile for a while.

Dawson fought Adamek at 175.

Adamek was feinting before the weigh-in for the Dawson fight. Serious draining.

He moved up after.

Dawson & Ward are bland to watch, despite their ability to win. The 24 rds against Tarver made watching baked potatoes cook through an oven window, an extreme sport.

I know where your coming from, still cant see Dawson beating Ward though.....maybe a rematch with Pascal would tell us just how good Dawson can be.
