Amazing when British fighters suffer a loss they start changing trainers its hardly the fault of the trainers who have guided them to the top. I don't see how Burns will benefit with anyone other than Nelson its a bit to late in the day to start getting taught new things Ricky Hatton found that out.

Classy note there from Nelson which is rare now days.

I think it's the right choice though to be honest but I think this should've happened a few fights ago.

Burns fought in a Chinese restaurant once. They moved the tables out the way one Thursday night.

I remember, he narrowly outpointed the chef  Grin

He was paid in Fried Rice - and Nelson ate it all.

I bet that started the cracks in their relationship.

Get real? Bit strong for expressing an opinion. Keep yir thong on.

And I said I think he will TRY! If Steve Collins and Amir Khan can go with Roach there's no reason Burns couldn't.

Shocked by that had heard the rumours myself but wasn't sure if it was just someone making it up or not, Hopefully he picks the right trainer not sure how much can change this late in his career and 2 weight world champion is a great achievement no matter what people say about his level of opposition. I'd like to see him add a bit more foot and head movement to his work but as I said not sure what can change this late he will be 31 this month.

It won't be tony Simms. Especially if Marchroom would want to put him against Mitchell again down the line

maybe get real was strong, but Burns wont be going to train with Freddie Roach, Steve Collins was long before Roach had as big a profile on back of coaching manny, Yes hes done khan but look how much money he would bring him . Also your overlooking the fact that Ray Beltran is resident in the Wild Card Gym  .... and while there both in the sae division, both holding ranking in the WBO they could fight again (big if) so from that perspectiv it would ake sense, and tito your spot on it will be Tony Sims (from what i have heard)

Red, I kow i did see that, but the person could have copied and paste, look at that page and the comments about Subway? Would Nelson come out with that ?

What is Ricky 32 now or so? I only see a change in trainer providing some brief spell of mental confidence which will likley dissapear once in the ring and he realises that things have barely changed.

It sounds like another excuse of a fighter wanting to believe there is a skill set in his arsenal he is yet to unlock, but in reality at Burns stage of his careeer it is massively unlikely to occur.

I'd expect Burns to still beat the likes of Murray vs Crolla, but I doub't he'd need a new trainer to do that.
