In boxing, yes, but he's not exactly a role model in his post Cruiser days is he? All talk and little to no show. The saviour of the heavyweight division claims... etc. He's talked much more than he's done since the Enzo Macc fight. He's made a lot of money but that means nothing to me when it's actual fights I want to see. He's an easily forgotten heavyweight champion.

Nope, not a role model.
But, a Cruiserweight and Heavyweight World Champion. Only the second ever.

Yes but he beat a weak champion at heavyweight and made no effort to unify... like he said he would. It doesn't mean too much when you put his heavyweight title run out against other heavies of even his own era. You also need to take into account that the Cruiser weight category is new enough relatively speaking.

No effort to unify? Didn't he fight Wlad in a unification fight?

no Jaff, he didn;t 'fight' Wlad - thats the point - he didn;t fight - all he did was  dance around the edges and then complaine of a broken little toe. i was there. i wasted a lot of money on this odious media whore.

adios Mr Haye - you are a clown - and lose the afro dude - you look f***ing ridiculous.

I'm not a huge Haye fan but in fairness nobody since or before has faired any better against Wlad. Although not everyone wore t shirts showing him decapitated

Had a gameplan against Wlad which was wrecked by two things. A broken toe, and Wlad being much more boxing clever and shrewd than he and Booth had planned for. He went the distance, but it just became a survival exercise sadly. To be honest, others don't even fare that well against Wlad, and that's without a broken bone.
Criticize Haye's achievements if you like. To say he beat a weak Heavyweight Champ is disingenuous, there were plenty of very good boxers who couldn't beat him, and Haye beat him well.
