I can see the temptation to pay for the Fury fight as least if Fury wins he becomes the man at Heavyweight.  But it is still a con ultimately as there was no need for it to be PPV to make the fight.  Wlad's fights aren't usually and Fury was his mandatory.  Add to that the fact that the chief support had his last outing in a Bristol leisure centre makes it seem like a simple money grabbing exercise.

I think it's reached a point where any decent fight becomes PPV we accept it because Eddie and Sky seem to want PPV for shit fights aswell.

Is Degale/Bute not part of the PPV?

Just checked and it's on SS1 and it could well be the best fight of the next fortnight.

I don't understand why they didn't make that part of the package. Surely would've got more buys?

As much as DeGale has turned a corner, I doubt most people that will be buying this will even know he's fighting that night let alone want to stay up to 3am to watch it.

Fury has to be PPV as Sky Sports have an exclusive contract with Hearn where SBO don't.

That's fair enough I suppose. I'd think this would do pretty good numbers. Seems to be a lot of interest.

Just noticed that was followed by a barrage of abuse and rightly so – get away murder Sky and Matchroom at the minute. I can’t stand looking at Hearn’s smug face all over the TV and Adam Smith who has to be the most awkward person to ever step in front of a TV Camera!!
