I remember when he beat Jacobs, made it look easy. Most people had him way a head of GGG at the time. What a loss for boxing, he had talent to burn. Not your typical eastern european fighter.

He was due to fight Golovkin but got injured, if I remember correctly. That would have been an intriguing fight.

I knew he'd picked up an injury but didn't realise it was career ending.

Was connected to all sorts of dodgy figures wasn't he. Then again ain't they all from that neck of the woods
