Groves is a favourite for sure, but Cox can dig and George has been close to getting dusted against many opponents.

If he takes Jamie lightly, and makes a mistake - it could become very interesting.

Whos he shown this speed and power against though? Groves was having harder tests inside 5 fights than Cox has to date.

Lets be fair though, Groves resume wasnt great when he stepped in with Froch first time around but he lit him up for a good portion of that fight.

He'd already faced Adamu, Anderson DeGale, Smith and Johnson - basically Murderers Row compared to who Cox has faced.

I remember a cert average joe going in against eubank not having really fought anyone outstanding.
Look what happened when the Carrot was dangled for World honours.
If cox has fought nobody why is he in the mix

Not sure the likes of Degale and Smith were fighting any better opposition then Cox at the time Groves beat them.....Johnson was half dead when he got in with Groves.

They were both current or former British champions when he fought them and DeGale is now proven world class and Smith a world title challenger. Johnson was only a couple of fights out of the Super Six and still giving guys a test.

Coxs last two opponents have 36 losses between them.

British Champion is hardly a claim to fame. This is a big step up for Cox but Froch was a big step up for Groves. Cox could cause him some problems regardless of how poor his resume is.

Pretty sure British Champion is a decent claim to fame. It doesnt make you a world beater but its a good level to have reached.

Degale has also won an Olympic gold and was quite a heavy favourite against Groves.

Lively card so far this. Filthy from Adolphe there. And good KO by Thomas in the fight before.

Cox is 25/1 to be DQd as well which isnt bad considering what form he has for fouling.

Anticipated this potential semi final after the draw was made, very big fight that I've noted as one I would like to attend, hope Groves comes through tonight impressively.

I wasnt over the moon at this being PPV but this has easily been worth a tenner. Another brilliant stoppage by Ryder there.
