All depends on the criteria they use.

If its based on boxing then without a shadow of a doubt.

Youngest ever heavyweight champion
Arguably the most famous fighter of all time

As it's a boxing hall of fame then yes.
Wouldn't surprise me if he was left out on personal grounds to appease people though.

He's a certainty. I believe the only requirement he needs is to be retired for at least 5 years.

Youngest ever Heavyweight Champion, Undisputed Champion, three time champion and he made plenty of defences.

I thought the same as Gibbo, for his boxing ability and becoming the youngest world champion yes, but what about that little incident when he was hungry whilst in the ring with Holyfield, would that stop him from being entered into the hall of fame?

he's got to be in it imo as it states in the title boxing hall of fame and he's prob 1 of most famous fighters of all time after ali , plus ppl might think im crazy for saying this with all he has achieved but imo he is 1 of the biggest under achiever in boxing when u think how young he was when won world heavyweight title , i dont even think he was near his peak at the time when you consider most heavyweights are at the there best around the 30 mark, but he didnt maintain his disciplin and surrounded himself with all the wrong ppl but if chose to keep dedicating himself i think it would be frightening to think of what he would of went achieve

I expect that Mike will be a first ballot hall of famer; his legacy is secure and few have made the impact that he has in the ring...out of ring matters should be immaterial otherwise it would make a mockery of it being a boxing hall of fame...

He will receive some resistance but not enough to keep him out...

Without a doubt he will get in at the first ballot. The main reason why a lot of people got into the sport.

Had his problems, but like others said its the boxing hall of fame not a popularity contest.
