Lee McAllister
ricky burns
alex arthur
paul appleby
craig mcewan
john simpson
Kevin Anderson
willie limond
Kevin McIntyre

is it fair to say ...... the number one boxer in scotland is ricky burns, hes certainly been talked about more and over shadowed alex arthur recently . craig mcewan has a 15-0 record but not as much in the spotlight as ricky

Always in a good scrap too

McEwan would have a shout if he fought in the UK but I suppose being under Freddie is more important to him so kudos. He is fighting next week at The Staples Centre which will be his 3rd fight in 3 months

Great result for Lee McAllister tonight. Third Round stoppage victory and now Commonwealth Lightweight Champion. I'd rather see Lee fight Willie Limond or Alex Arthur next as opposed to Gary McArthur. The McArthur fight would be interesting if Zander Dimond was ringside!!

Out of the list I would still go for Alex Arthur. He has fought at the higher level and although I think his best days are past him I still think he would beat Burns and Limond.

Good to see Craig McEwan going well in the USA.

Sorry for putting McAllisters result on this one. I thought I saw friday night spoiler at the top but must have mixed up with another thread.

Alex Arthur,  I know he is not the no. 1  scotsman or any man at the moment.
But he should have been, technically gifted and one of the best.
Can't believe he lost to Michael  thats one stepping stone that went drastically wrong  Cry

mayweather lost his reputation as lb for lb  for being out the ring for so long,  this was alex first fight in 10months , hes not won a fight in 18months. for me alex has to prove himself to be no1 again

i would still say that alex arthur is the best fighter that we currently have in scotland.

although with ken buchanans possible return, that could change pretty quickly.
