Title: Weekends Boxing 6th & 7th October
Post by: The Hurricane on October 06, 2017, 02:33:04 PM
Loads going on this weekend with a card on BN tonight and cards on Sky, C5 and ITV Box Office on Saturday.  Crolla v Burns should hopefully be a decent fight and Eggington is always fun to watch.

I think ITV will struggle to flog the PPV up against Crolla v Burns on Sky and Andrew Selby on free to air even though Yildirim's manager is hilarious.  Could be a tough night for Eubank as the 'away' fighter and Yildirim is as much as 12's for a points win which could be value.

Fairly decent local show up here in Scotland as well. I can't make it so a bit annoyed.

Off to watch Burns get beat up. Life doesn't get much better than that

I reckon Burns wins this fairly comfortably

Lewis Ritson looks like a decent addition to the domestic Lightweight scene. Certainly seems to have more about him than Cardle, Dodd, Stalker, etc.

F*ck sake what is with these shite scorecards how could any judge score that to Eggington??  :-\

Right man won, the French fella danced rings around him most of the fight but that balloon who scored for Eggington, have a lie down pal.

Eubank Jnr destroyed this Turkish guy be. Good fight against Groves

Well....that guy may have been tailor made for Eubank but I thought that was a phenomenal performance. Proper spiteful bastard when he puts his shots together.

Getting a bit sick of seeing fighters allow Eubank to lean on them because he has only one intention in that position, throw the uppercut. Uppercut after uppercut.

Sure Groves is well schooled enough to not be a stationary target. Be a fascinating fight next up.

Agreed Gaz what I was saying he throws the uppercut loads but better fighters wonít look him to do that

Must admit he was impressive tonight the other guy just walked onto punches but still have to beat them Groves will be a good fight in Jan

Wouldn't like to be scoring this Burns Crolla fight. Above anything else it's kind of boring even though both guys are pretty active every round. Weird fight really.

Yep tough to score this one Gaz itís very very close probably be a split decision

Given that neither fighter is damaged and neither fighter has established any superiority I'd just F*ck the scorecards off and say draw lol

Draw is a possibility I thought this would go the distance itís a hard one.

6-5 and 1 even to Crolla was my card it was pretty close though.

I had it close Crolla by 1 maybe a draw. Scorecards were a bit all over the place.

Watched it live...thought Crolla won by a decent margin tbh. Have to watch it back and see.

Just rewatched the fight and had it 115-114 for Burns, Crolla was the busier but Ricky was catching a lot on the gloves and arms, my card was the same as Froch but I gave Burns the last round I thought he was busier and landed cleaner in that round. Close fight wouldn't be against a rematch in Glasgow.

The fight never captured my attention enough for me to bother scoring it to be honest. Wouldn't be overly bothered about watching a rematch to be honest. Probably didn't help that Eubank's performance before it was so devastating.

Despite you having those tartan goggles... I agree. Thought Burns won most of the last half of the fight and won enough in the first 6 to nick it. Draw would have been fitting, no real interest in a rematch... I'd like to see Campbell v Crolla as a last pay day for him.

I ain't seen the Eubank fight, went crolla fight . I was looking out for you jorg to buy my fellow uk  citizen a drink.

I didn't have burns winning and didn't have crolla winning either. I've followed crolla mainly as he's local .

I won't be sad o see either retire tbh .

Was a kinda shit ' few fights late' fight for both

If the fight had been relevant and not just a money taking Exercise I'd be half tempted but this fight was poor and 'if' there's another I can't see how Eddie can spin it.

F*ck me the loser was meant to retire ffs.

Its gonna take me a bigger occasion than this to venture to the wrong side of the wall
