That was a struggle, finally got tix but will be going to Sheffield rather than Manc or Liverpool which are the closest.

November 8th should be fantatstic going off the last time I seen them.

Went to the Killers gig last night, an absolute beast of a band they are it has to be said. I don't mind the new album but it's not as good as say Day and Age or Hot Fuzz, however when played live the tracks sound miles better which is a sign of top band imo.

I think if they stay together long enough they could be something huge in years to come, they have a mixed fan base of young and old, a fantastic front man and are shit hot live.

Without really trying we ended up being stood about 4 rows from the front, so a great view and only had to put up with a few pricks the odd time which is not bad for a standing section.

Long time since this thread had any contributions.

Thought I'd plug the new Stereophonics album, some nice tunes on it. 'Been caught cheating' is a quality, bluesy track. Apparently written a few years back and intended for Amy Winehouse to sing. Kelly Jones' voice is brilliant though and I think he does the vocals justice, as he should given that he wrote the song!  Grin

Jake bugg is playing Philly on sept 15th. The plac is like a shoe box as well. And tickets are about £9.

Listening to Gary klark jnr 'Blak n Blu' and Alabama shakes right now.

Will give the phonics album a listen. Loved them for a while but thought there music went pretty shitty for a while.

I think Kelly Jones is very underrated, the guy is one of the best male vocalist about. Loving the new album.

It's a very unique style of vocals so I understand that he isn't to everyone's taste but me personally I could listen all day, and live it's extraordinary to hear.

Agree, i went and saw him in Bath in front of about 100 people in this tiny venue. He done an acoustic set and to this date have not heard or been to a better gig..

Will be watching Muse at City's stadium next weekend. Seen them live before, think they're ace live, love their music usually, only problem is that the last album is utter tosh and the gig I suspect will be populated by Twilight fans as much as Muse fans.

Should be a good spectacle nonetheless.

Not a massive fan of Muse but I imagine they'd be excellent live
