Once again didn't Suarez admit using the term? And if it's such a normal and affectionate way of expressing yourself why doesn't he use that term when speaking with his own teammates? Why wait until he's having a match long spat with a rival player?

Im not sure why this is still being debated  Undecided

The case was reviewed by an independent panel and Suarez was found guilty.

Suarez has admitted he used the word and described the phrase he used it in.

Evra has said that he was offended by it and deemed it racist.

It appears the only argument from Suarez is that in whatever dialect/country/language/accent/phrase he used it is not considered racist ?

Its a no brainer to me  Roll Eyes

Is Suarez what a normal person would generally consider a racist - NO

Did Suarez use racist offensive language on this occasion - YES

Did the recipient of that language deem it racist and offensive - YES

Did an independent panel find Suarez of using racist and offensive language on the occasion covered by this case - YES

Noooooooo not the S-uarez debate again  Grin

Have to agree with 7 that it makes sense to assume the two incidents are discontected until we know more. You can't account for wankers in the crowd, every gound has them and it won't the last time a dumb fan abuses a player, racially or otherwise. It's just this has got more column inches because race rows are top of the agenda at the moment, particulalrly for LFC.

I would have a slightly sadistic chuckle to myself tho if it is proven he was wearing a S-uarez t-shirt  Cheesy If that doesn't evoke an apology for their handling of the whole affair, nothing will!

Come on city!

City fan or united hater Aaron? Actually, don't bother answering, they're both as bad as each other!  Grin

They are not showing the match on SS or spam, any idea what station it's on.

I have to say, I will ejaculate everywhere if Scholes scores the winner today.

Can he make a positive difference? Let's hope so. Its often said that every great boxer has one great  fight left, can the same be said about a high end footballer?

So if this guy is such an expert why wasn't he called to give evidence?

Because it was an independent panel by the FA and they called their own experts in

I thought you said last night it was your last comment on the subject, I didn't continue it on those grounds

It's dragging the thread down

@Deck, he does call it his teammates including Glen Johnson and his black teammates in the National squad

@Leve, about a fair as an assessment as I've seen from a United fan, I fully agree that regardless of whether Suarez meant offence, Evra took offence and therefore it could have been handled far better, my only gripe is his story, 5, 7 or 10 times? Then it was ni**er, then it was Negro yet he was deemed credible

Can we either have another thread on the boring subject or everyone agree to put it to bed? Maybe a split topic to be honest and those who want to read it or contribute can do cos let's face it, it's going to run and run when Suarez returns and the Terry case is finally dealt with  Undecided

This will probably sound funny coming from a Liverpool fan but I'm made up Scholes and Henry are having a final pop at the league, brilliant players that even now will enhance their team

That's a really poor decision. It probably wasn't even a yellow and it spoils the game to an extent.
