I once saw Hagi playing for Brescia in the Anglo-Italian cup at Burnden, he was superb but then again we were crap then - even compared to todays team! A certain folically challenged Italian referee was in charge of that game too

I see the papers and tinternet are running away with the idea of Ryan Giggs becoming manager of Man United when Sir Alex calls time..... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7524523/Giggs-tipped-for-top-jobQuestion... Didnt Pep Guardiola do the same thing at Barca? Personaly i think its going to be Mourinho. One more year in at Madrid the Sir Alex stps down to make way. Was speaking to a couple of Everton fans last night and some one said if Harry gets the England job Moyes might go to Spurs. Everton fans said nah, no chance but some one said they think Moyes will go to Man United when Sir Alex steps down, they said......Probably!!

Dalglish did a good job of it at Liverpool at 36 so it's not entirely out of the question
If Ferguson thinks he can do it and recommends him, it's a no brainer really
I think they will do it myself and promote from within rather than go external to someone like Mourinho
Moyes to Spurs would be funny, I know a few Blues and they would be on Suicide watch

I think the game has moved on too much for a player to step off the pitch in to the dug out nowadays.
You're effectively holding a position of power in a multi-million pound company, the round the clock media pressure is insane and the squads are so much bigger. Look at the grounding Villas-Boas had and he's still really struggling.

I heard it was aimed at Mario hence why he was subbed as he was signalling he was upset! But I couldn't hear anything through my speakers! What was going on?

Would you say AVB has had much more of a grounding than Giggs though? If Giggs has paid attention over the last 20 years (in between bedding all those chicks), he can't have learnt from a better 'master' I think Neville could do it too, he has the passion, respect of his team mates and his analysis is brilliant (sticks in my throat saying that but it's true)

After hearing Neville on sjy i'm suprised he's not gone into management already. Is he doing his bades etc... does anyone know?

To be honest Giggsy lost a lot of my respect as person when he rattled his sister in law's bones over a sustained period of about 5 years. That's the lowest of the low and says to me that he's a complete twat of a person.
Great player, great attitude on the field, but would hate for someone with such a dubious moral compass to manage Manchester United. A manager needs to be a role model. Most United fans would disagree but hay ho. He's also got all the charisma of a wet lettuce.
Anyway Fergie is always touting his players as the next manager. I think he sees it as some kind of fairy tale ending for his time at the club. Unfortunately I don't think it's realistic. Not in the modern game.
If it is to be a player, then as 7's said, G Nev is best candidate for me along Ole Gunnar, who is pulling up tree with that Norwegian club he's managing.
