No he isn't, especially when he spends half the season on the physio table.

When Bellamy plays he is a better player than Tevez. Granted he is injured alot, but if both were fit I would pick Bellamy ahead of him.

I agree, jimjack. Bellamy is quality when fit.

Talk is of Man City buying Adebayor. They already have 8 strikers already - gonna be difficult to see where they all play. Ched Evans will go out on loan (hopefully to Cardiff City). Maybe sell Bojinov?
Caicedo seems a decent player while Benjani is coming back from injury. Add Robinho, Santa Cruz, Bellamy and Tevez and City have too many strikers. Sturridge and Vassell have gone.

Im not sure how I feel with Spurs being linked with Patrick Viera today.

Take away the Arsenal link and I would have him tomorrow.  He is a free transfer and him linking up with Palacios in Midfield would be a great combination, especially when you have 2 small players like Lennon and Modric on  the flanks.  He isnt as good as he was no doubt about it, but I still think he would be a good player for the squad.  I still even think he could do a job at Arsenal, as that is a player there squad desperately lacks, and it shows as they have won nothing since he left.

With the Arsenal link....................................I fcking hate his guts!!  He was the main player really that drove them to their success and I hated his cocky attitude.  A plus though being it would Piss a lot of Arsenal fans off if he joined us.

I am not sure how I would feel but if he were to improve our squad and we finished above the Gooners as a result I would welcome him.       Do I think we will get him??? No!!   Grin

It's all about opinions but give me Herman Munster head any day before Bellamy, I think he will thrive @Eastlands getting regular game time.

I hear you loud and clear fella - you want the benefits of him in the middle without having to think about the fact that he is a Gunners legend, similar thing with Owen, I know it's a hell of an opportunity for him but it still doesn't sit right.

It's as if he is cheating on us with the enemy - providing he's not a complete flop, he will never be seen in the same light for me now -  I can see him having some success there also which will make matters far worse.

Taking the Piss aside, City are collecting some decent players there, Hughes is obviously going for Prem proven. The defence needs strengthening but Hughes obviously knows that being in for Johnson and Terry.

Were Mourinho in charge, I'd be worried but I just don't think Hughes is the man to take City forward, will he be able to keep everyone happy for one? He is going to have to adapt to rotation, how will he handle the pressure if they do break into the top four, it's a long way from Blackburn or even Wales where he did well with relatively little pressure.

As for Tevez joining City cos the rivalry with United isn't the same as Liverpool's, do me a favour.

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has urged John Terry to make the move to Eastlands to 're-ignite' his career.

It isnt  Huh?  Uniteds rivalry is far worse towards Liverpool. In fact I would say the rivalry with City from a United perspective is below Liverpool, Arsenal and possibly Leeds.  City's rivalry towrds United is massive but not the other way round  Tongue

That could possibly change should City's "project" prove to be a success tho  Embarrassed

probably right. However success breeds contempt, so expect City to become about as poplular as Chelsea and Man Utd.

I think City's lack of success has somewhat stunted the rivalry in comparison to the likes of Liverpool. It's the same reason Real Madrid will always be a bigger game to Barca fans than Espanyol.

Richard Eckersley has joined Burnley from United.

For some bizarre reason, Hull have deemed Bobby Zamora worth £5 million.

Looks like Downing is going to Villa (Get in there for Ashley Young Fergie!)
