Listen, i'm not disagreeing that football is now a game for fannies, i'm saying on what grounds are you/City expecting it to be rescinded based on the rule that a two footed tackle is a red card or can be interpreted as one? Joey Barton had his appeal turned down over the Bradley Johnson incident because he went nose to nose with him - you can't do it, it doesn't matter that he didn't headbutt him or whatever. It's not the refs job not to spoil a spectacle or worry that it's on TV. The Nani point is irrelevant to an appeal - you can't seriously believe that will hold up as evidence. Rooney actually held up 2 fingers not an imaginary card. It's still a C**ts trick but every team in the league has a player that goes down easy, hounds the ref waves an imaginary card etc. - your manager did it during the week.
It's not compulsary, it's at the FA's discression. I think it's to do with 'frivolous' appealing.

He should be banned for making inappropriate gestures towards officials then Grin

Where did Kenny say he expected Ferguson to appease your lot? Wasn't the newspaper making stuff up again per chance was it?!

Ferguson just been interviewed about the draw, said he was happy and the only real decision he had to make was whether to bring back Foy or Webb as both had played brilliantly for them lately

He his also considering digging up George best

In defence of Foy with the red card, he had a decision to make having seen it once at full speed. Referees are told to clamp down on two footed tackles and it was. We've seen in the past that whether you win the ball or not is largely irrelevant to the decision. You can't tackle two footed - it's as simple as that and you run the risk of a red if you do.

Yeah they are but they actually have to see it!

Foy didn't think F*ck all about the tackle like everybody else until that C*** Rooney ran over giving it the odds.  How much of a slimeball can you actually be?  Talk about appalling sportsmanship!

Couldn't be anymore proud of the lads today.  We were all over the shop after the sending off and we couldn't get any sort of shape or organisation.  At half time I definitely was fearing the worst, I thought karma was going to hit us like a bitch.  Massive respect and props to Mancini for the tactics he deployed for the second half though and the talk he obviously gave the lads.  As already mentioned God knows why he took David off instead of Nasri who's been terrible since he signed, bar a couple of games, all I can think of is that he had one eye on Wednesday, the same reason he rested Hart and Clichy.  Even Stevie Wonder can see that Kolarov can't defend.

The second half was massive from our perspective as far as i'm concerned.  To pen them back for 45 minutes with ten men and 5-6 of our first team players out, is quite special.  I thought we made them look ordinary to be honest.  No gripes with the overall result to be honest, just wish the referee would of given us a fair shake, I thought he was terrible today and seems I'm not the only one.

Apparently Stuart Downing has said if his girlfriend was dressed as a full back he wouldn't have beaten her.

having just watched a few highlights have to agree with this! it all happens so fast but the decision wasnt made fast as if it wasnt reckless or a sending off, its like the ref is trying to work out in his mind what to do! At 1 point play seems to of played on and the ref seemed happy to let it go on, until Rooney is infront of the ref and seems to either show the imagenary card or show 2 fingers and then the whistle blows and out comes the red  Undecided

Not up to us is it? Thought it was a Police / FA decision

It would make sense to reduce the gate and before any one starts, I think the same for the league game at Old Trafford for our lot too

It was a pile of bollocks!

I was sat in the third tier and still saw everything that went on.  Kompany did the challenge and everyone was up clapping and shouting, nobody batted an eyelid including all the players on the pitch, play carried on then all of a sudden as soon as Rooney runs over shouting the odds, Foy stops play and the next thing we know Kompany's given his marching orders.

Yeah ok, it's the letter of the law but at the same time how can you send somebody off when you didn't even think it was yourself, just because one C*** of a striker hasn't got the decency to be a good sport.

It kept replaying Cheeseman's reaction when it happened on the radio after the match, and he carrys on commentating after the tackle like nothing had happened.

Rooney needs fining or some sort of disciplinary action for that.

They whinged like F*ck when we didn't give the allocation but it's not about 'oh we'll just get one over on them', there's security issues that come with allocating them more tickets.  If we'd have given them the extra 2500 or whatever it was they wanted, we'd of had to shove them in the third tier as well as the south stand.  That's asking for trouble because the spirals that lead to our second tier where the City fans are, also lead up to the third tier.

Why?  It's exactly the same thing.

I don't agree with Mancini doing it either.

Just seen the sending off for the first time, what a load of shite!

You can't even call that two footed!  The left foot hardly even moves off the floor.

What is football coming to these days.
