I've played both sports and obviously RL is a far tougher more physical sport, but there's more skill in football, which makes it better to watch imo I have the dubious claim to fame of having my nose broke by Kevin Sinfield playing rugby for school. He was playin for saddleworth , me for St damiens. We both had v good teams with lads that went on to pro but Sinfield was a beast even at 15. I'd only been on the pitch 5 mins and went to tackle him. Got his heel in the bridge of my nose  |

The most successful captain in SL era and he broke a few records along the way. Not many people would have him down as the greatest player in the game buit he is better than most in every department. |

No just t'other side of the pennines in oldham mate. Sinfield went to saddleworth high school (oldham) and we both went to oldham 6th form college in the same yr. We are not friends or anything, he just broke my nose  Nice lad though, straight A student as well as being able to run 100m in 12 seconds and built like a brick shit house. Thinking about it he was clearly a bit of twat!  |
