As Harty rightly says, that's the problem.

It's short-sighted to say "they need to understand the club" or "we're different". Every club thinks they're different - they're not, they're different just like everybody else is.

Hodgson was a good man and a good manager who was doomed to failure because of that mindset - and he was treated appallingly.

f***ing yawn  Huh?

Anyone who compares Dalglish to Hodgson hasn't watched us

I did, I have and I do.

We were actually talking then until you got ultra defensive and started spraying stuff around again.

You can talk all you want about hitting the post or luck. You can justify Kenny's outlay with all the talk of Torres's sale.

The facts are Kenny has spent over £100 million on players and you are only marginally better of points per game than you were under Hodgson. That's a fact.

Hodgson was not given the time, the money or the backing that Dalglish has. And he didn't get that - and you've basically admitted it yourself - because he's not a Scouser and/or never played for the club. That's absolute madness.

You'll talk of Poulsen and Konchesky and so on but they were bargain basement. Pro-rata they are no worse a signing than basically everybody Dalglish has brought in except for Suarez and Enrique.

The club is sinking fast. There's a distinct chance they could finish outside of the top 10 this year and after their outlay that's madness.

Dalglish should be very grateful he doesn't have a bitter old club legend sniping behind his back like Hodgson did for the 6 months he was there. He'd be in real trouble then.

Crouch shouldn't be allowed to score goals like that.

Madness.

One of the biggest reasons hodgson wasn't given a chance was because he was brought in under the old regime of hicks and gillet. He was seen as there yes man that would follow them blindly in what ever direction they shoved him. He was not the right man from the off.

That being said some people are believing that kenny isnt either.

One thing kenny Should not be getting total blame for is the signings. There is a certain Damian comolli that has an awful lot to do with the signings.

Henderson has been no where near as bad as what people make out he just hasn't stood out either. Downing is coming good and carroll is looking more comfortable by the game. How ever, some managerial decisions have left me baffled, maybe thats why I'm not the manager?

Setting out with 1 striker against a team that plays 3 at the back when at home would not be my chosen strategy, thats for sure.

I will judge kenny by next Christmas. Obviously things need to change and i am pretty confident he will change them.

I would push Gerrard right downing left and play shelvey high in the middle from now on. Thats just me and one of the things i would
Do.

Sterling would be a regular on the bench and would be seeing more cameos as downing drifts out of games late on so sterling would add a good option and a swift kick up the arse.

I would always play two up top and use carrol, kuyt and Suarez in a rotation.

Jeez.

So it's Commoli's fault now? And Carroll is getting better? Before that it was bad luck and I see Kenny blamed tiredness today? Hodgson gets six months but Kenny gets two years?

Maybe Liverpool are struggling to score because the goalposts keep getting moved?

The absolute best thing for the club - I think - is for Kenny to walk away of his own accord this summer. Give him an open top bus round the city with a trophy - maybe two - and a title like President for life and let him get back to enjoying football again - because he doesn't look like he's enjoying it to me.

Get a young man in - tell him he's got 5 years come what may and build a team round the Kelly's, Sterling's and Flanagan's coming through. Ship off Carragher, let Suarez go if he wants to and manage Gerrard better so he knows he's not an automatic pick every week but get more out of him when he does play because he's not playing at 70%. I'd also sit down with Reina and tell him he's "the man" now, give him a long term deal, make him skipper and leader of the team.

All of that is a bold move but they have to try something to turn the club round and right now they just can't compete financially with the City's, Chelsea's or United's of this world.

Not to jump on the Liverpool slating band wagon, but I must admit I felt hodgson wad treated harshly by Liverpool and it stank of football snobbery. That said despite this perhaps it was too big for Roy (and I would be gutted if he got the England job). However the job, modern premier league football, and the whole situation itself is too big for kenny. Great player, very average manager I'm afraid. Like I say the job may have been too big for hodgson, but I would rate him higher as a manager at the minute than kenny. I would go further and say that if kenny had west broms squad they would already be down IMO.

Dalglish was a great manager - you don't do what he did if you're not.

But he was out of the game 10 years. That is going to affect anybody's capacity to be successful.
