The Money Team Is Gonna Rip Your Boy A New One

Supporting Liverpool is like asking your parents for a brand new, 50" plasma TV for Christmas, and on Christmas morning opening your presents to find an old TV from the 60's for your parents to say "it's still good, it's got a lot of history"

One manager spends £20 million, underperforms and is fired after 6 months after being given no time to turn it round because he's not scouse.

One manager spends £100 million plus, underperforms but shouldn't be fired because he's Kenny Dalglish?

And I'm the crackers one.

We are dog turd at the moment but anyone arguing Hodgson should have been given more time really doesn't understand Liverpool or the reasons he went

It is that simple

To suggest Kenny should now be sacked on a similar set of results is crackers

So the logic at Liverpool is wait till it gets even worse than it already is, probably till your in the bottom half and then maybe replace him?

And the reason he gets to do such a bad job but keep it is because of his name and who he was as a player?

Sorry sevens but there is no sense in that at all, Liverpool have had a Shite season in which the title will of been there focus,  not carling and fa cups. As it stands they are not even nearly men, they are just another team with an aimless season.

I was having a laugh with Harvey yesterday and the only consolation he had was that Swansea lost and so they don't gain or move above you. How embarrasing for a club having spent what you have to be taking comfort through Swansea's downfall.

If now ain't the time to replace Kenny, god knows what state you will be in when you do. I can't believe the guy won't walk way admitting he has tried and failed and in the interest of the club let someone else have a go.

Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if they finished outside the top 10 this year.

Liverpool fans - Andy Carroll has all the ingredients to be a good player except a good first touch and the hunger to play for your team. At Newcastle he had to try hard as he knew if he didn't he wasnt just letting himself down, but all his family/mates/associates who support the team. I don't believe he will ever be a 20 goal a season striker for Liverpool. Hes got £5m-10m in his backpocket at 22 years old. Too much, too soon, wrong place, wrong time.

Hes also not as good as Demba Ba or Papiss Cisse so wouldn't get in the Newcastle team and I believe if you hadnt spent so much on him he wouldn't get in the Liverpool team. Suarez, Kuyt and Bellemy are all more effective and even playing Stevie G at number 10 behind Suarez or Kuyt would be better.

Dalgish - "trophys is better than a top 4 finish"

No need to comment on this statement sums him up for me!

To be fair, I kind of agree with him there. But I'm a Burnley fan so what would I know.

You are in the game - ultimately - to win things.

He had the same philosophy at Newcastle and narrowly missed out on the cups.

Just be careful he doesnt leave you in the same situation he left us in, everybody hates him up here! Well except in Sunderland.

At the end of your career you really want to be looking at your medals rather than thinking about how many Champions League qualifiers and group games you've played in.

Where I think he's being a bit disingenuous is the implication that 9th and the Carling Cup is a great season. Birmingham City - with all due respect - won it last year and it's the 4th most important trophy really. If they finish 6th and the Carling Cup that's decent, if they finish 6th and win both trophies I'd say that's good.

The problem is they're in a bit of a slump at the minute. They need a big finish to the season but I'm not sure they have it in them.

Ask Ryan gifts or Alan Hanson if the would swap the title medals they have won for double the amount in fa/carling 'cup' medals.......

You need more ambition than that to be honest

Agreed but I think the short term goal is get back in the champions league and long term goal is, as always, win the league. We may be building this season but results are still short of what we need, therefore it's been a bad season imo.

I actually know a shit side and a manager out of my depth when I see one.

Roll your eyes, but you're closer to us quality wise than the top 4.
