No Obertan was signed before Bebe I think. Both master strokes by Fergie though  If Pardew gets Newcastle into top 6 by the end of the season, he has to be manager of the year does he not? I know a lot of people are giving the guy from Swansea a lot of praise but he did not arguably lose his 3 or 4 best players all within months of each other last year.
A result in a tough game against Swansea and I would say it is job done for Newcastle providing they don't lose every game after that which is massively unlikely.
Hopefully if Tiote goes they get top dollar for him, I watched a bit of the game yesterday and every spare ball he picks up and every man in trtouble he is the one providing a pass for. You stick him in any team in the prem and he makes a big difference I don't care who they have in their centre mid.
Reckon so mate yeah. It's him or Rogers at any rate. Fergie's done it too many times now to get manager of the year. He'd need to win Prem/champs league double again to be in with a shout. If City end up winning it Mancini might get a look in. Tiote is good but the type of player he is I can't see him going for much more than 18-20 mil. Might be wrong |

Reina would have been sent off no matter what Perch did in that situation. Personally I think it ironically was probably the best thing to do...he knows if he stays on his feet there then there would be more ricks, so by going to ground thats the situation over. What Carroll did was just out and out cheating. |

And feigning injury, going down like you have been shot and getting a fellow pro sent off isn't out and out cheating ?? I see what your saying but it gets my back up when these guys go down like that, I remember Wayne Bridge doing it once against Arsenal when I think Eboe grazed his face Embarrassing. I think that's a lot worse than trying to win a penalty. |
