My thoughts on Dalglish are well known.

This, I believe, is the right move for the club. It's a bold move, one I didn't think they'd make, but I think it was necessary for the good of the club.

I said a few months back that AVB shouldn't be written off and feel he'd be a good appointment for Liverpool. The dressing room at Chelsea were disgraceful - we've seen that in their performances since - but there are less ego's at Liverpool.

The next appointment needs to be given a brief to overhaul the club. The Academy is doing well and some of these players need to be given a chance now. Sack Carragher off, maybe make him No 2, and try and end the reliance on Gerrard.

Benitez would be a backward step for me. He had his run, his time ended badly and Liverpool need some fresh ideas and momentum. The gap between them and the top 4 is getting bigger every year and they need to do something to address that. The Premier League can only be better for having an on song, fired up Liverpool.

Why F*ck football 7s? Because a club legend who was under performing has been given the bullet?

I reckon they might try and buy Pardew out of his contract for a fee in the region of £35, he will have a shit season but it will be ok because he's a good young manager and will come good. Wink

If Dalglish leaving is based on indifferent league form, that would suggest that even if he'd won the FA Cup as well as the Carling Cup then he would still have been sacked which would have been a slightly bizarre situation.

Liverpool fans tell me the football has been infinitely better under Dalglish compared to Hodgson and Liverpool are one of several 'big' clubs who've seriously under performed in the PL this season so it does seem a tad harsh IMO.

Unless they've got a major name lined up as a replacement i find the decision a little premature.

As a side note, and I stand to be corrected, i'm sure i read a statistic within the last week that said Liverpool had the least amount of shots on target of any Premier League team this season.

Because we have to start over AGAIN

Because 1 full season isn't enough

Because he is Kenny and has f***ing well earned it

When did we turn into Chelsea? Sack a manager because they didn't win the Top 4 cup? Are we going to do that next season?

I've said time and again, our football isn't comparable to the results, the signs were there, Henderson and Carroll were looking good etc

And if under performing is getting to the final of two of the three competitions you enter then I'd love to see him when he was performing. The TEAM has to accept some of that blame

Our season starts early this season because of the Europa League, I'd have hope we would be planning transfers now not looking for a manager. I just want one season / close season where we are just talking about football and not the drama that is Liverpool and now we have the 'fly on the wall' documentary by the makers of 24/7 to look forward too  Roll Eyes

I wouldn't be surprised we kept hitting the f***ing post  Grin

I'd say we must be right up there with chances created we just couldn't hit a barn door and should put in an application to Ferguson's FA for bigger goals

At the end of the day, the board backed Kenny to the tune of £100m I believe and it resulted in the worst league finish in 18 years.

As much as it isnt coated in glory but finishing in the top 4 or the "top 4 cup" as you now like to call it, is the number one objective of teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs. Didnt you say the other day that the clubs wage infrastructure is based around qualifying for the champions leage or was it some else?

As for Kenny having earnt it, the game has moved on massivley since he last managed a team and I think the past season shows he isnt up to the job anymore whether he is a club legend or not. The board have realised this and made their decision.

Kenny hasn't earned anything, football is business and he was woefully out of his depth, he can't blame anyone else, he was backed financially, by the fans, by the players, by the board and he came up short. For the sake of the club you should be glad that the yanks are running it, if it had been scousers they might have given him another year to nail the coffin

Can't see why pardew would go to Liverpool, he has a better team where he is. It would be funny if they did go for him though.

M Owen has left Man United.

No great loss TBH.  He scored some important goals for us but he only played about 5 games last season for one reason or another.

He has said he wants to stay in the 'Top Flight'

Personly i cant see him getting any better than QPR, Wigan or Norwich a team whats going to be fighting relagation next year .....Villa at best.

Im shocked that Crouch has spat his dummy out also, apparently.

I think, if true, the pair thought they could force the hand of the FA. Looks like it backfired though.
