I think, if true, the pair thought they could force the hand of the FA. Looks like it backfired though.
Carrick is a decent player but there are four better central midfielders at the moment. Crouch I think I'd have taken him decent player and can find the net. The lack of talent is the problem last chance for a lot of these players. |

In fairness Crouche's goal to game record for england I am told is fantastic, and when your rival is Andy Carroll who by most accounts has been selected he has every right to be pissed off. Can't help but think that if Carroll did not play for Liverpool he would not be there. 5 or 6 games and the end of the season for which ywas decent in should not get you in the national team. I am still amazed at the selection of the amazingly shit Stewart Downing, of the worst call up's in the history of english football. |

Crouch took himself out apparently by saying he didn't want to come off the bench or be a stand by. He gave them no choice cause Roy will only have 1 up top.................and 9 in defence. |

If he moves there I can't see him been given the time needed. Managers should be given two full seasons IMO after that if it doesn't work or you can't see the team improving (ala kenny) then get rid! He won't be given that time, unless he finishes better than kenny did with a cup, with the team playing great foot ball (as Wigan do)..... Add Jamie carra as good as finished and stevie g on his last legs......he won't be given the time, it's a hard job for any new manager at Liverpool. |

Crouch and carrick did the same I believe. Not willing to fight for a start then not worth a plane seat imo. On hodgson... It's incredible how many people seem to know more about football than the former manager of inter Milan, fulham, Switzerland, Finland, Liverpool, west brom, etc... |
