Rangers will walk their way through the divisions back upto the premier league. The money their fans take to tinpot grounds will keep them clubs going but its whether the sponsors will stick round long enough to keep the top flight clubs going.

About time a football club went this way - serves them right for irresponsible owners. Nothing against Rangers but hopefully this will be a wake up call to other clubs not to live above their means

I think it could send Celtic into the mire as well though, will they get any TV/advertising/sponsor money when next to no one will be watching, that money will go but their outgoings for contracts will stay the same

I don't think it's that bad a move mate. At least he'll be playing football and if what Rodgers is trying doesn't work out then he can always get him back.

Would you be that bothered if you play nice football and are competing for say a CL place?

The Andy Carroll we sold to Liverpool, Newcastle were tactically setup for him! Wide play, swinging in crosses and playing to his strengths. The football we play now is light and day compared to that, and really don't think he would in.

I'd love to have him back, and im sure he could do a very good job for us.

I think that's the most bi-polar post I've ever read on the forum yet I understand what you mean completely!

Bellamy is supposedly on his way back to Cardiff, Kuyt has gone, Maxi too and we've only bought Borini

I know Rodgers is good but he isn't a magician

I think Newcastle getting Carroll back would be good, more so with cisse going to to the African cup of nations.

Plus selling for 35 mill to buy back for fifteen or whatever is like almost getting cisse and this French right back lad for free some would say.

In terms of Liverpool signing that borini yet flogging Carroll I can't say is good business, Rodgers is taking some big risks here. If he does not improve Liverpool he will make them a lot worse given who he is letting leave.

It really is a 50/50 transfer IMO. He could either be brilliant or a brilliant flop  Embarrassed

Would be a great signing for United, shit signing for City imo. Too many strikers there to keep happy, 3 average games and he wont play for 3 months.

Be suprised if city allowed united to sign him.

Agree though Paul, he is so far a one season man. Mate of mine is an arsenal fan and said yesterday his average goals per season is 9 over the course of him being there. He is a gamble
