Why do you think they've lost the plot mate? Genuine question I've not seen him enough to say either way Likewise, I've not seen enough of him to put a value on his head. But if someone who has worked with him for a few years goes to manage another club, and then after a few weeks looks at all his players and makes a bid for the lad it can only mean ... In the opinion of Brendan rogers he is better than what he has at Liverpool.

BUT It just seems that while they are well within there rights too, Swansea are putting a very inflated price on the kid. I have not seen loads of him but the prices being thrown about should Swansea stick to there guns and hold out for, this lad is a big gamble. If someone takes that gamble and it pays off for them then fair play, but 10-15 million is not money you would be wanting to throw away.

I don't think 10-15 mil is a lot for a player in todays climate. Rodgers has obviously seen something in him working at Swansea and he's relatively young so still likely to improve.
Don't know if it's right but i heard earlier today that the £15 mil buy out clause is only for 'top 4' teams and Liverpool otherwise it's £10 mil. Spurs are rumoured to be interested too.

It depends on the club mate, given this signing looks as though it will be funded by the sale of a player liverpool look likely to lose around 15 million on already, I'd say its a pretty big chunk of cash for them. If its city or Chelsea its peanuts, all the other prem clubs look to be clutching the purse strings a tad tighter at the moment. United seemed to of forgot targets whose price maybe at one point would not have bothered them, that polish striker and now this Brazil kid both look to be dead in the water.

The reason spurs can pay more for players is because they save on not employing scouts and just wait for Liverpool to show interest in a player. Haha

Thought he played well tonight, ticked things over nicely in the middle, broke things up and moved the ball on when he had it, can see how he fits in a Rodgers team, I do wonder who is set to miss out though. You'd have to say Lucas and Henderson are nailed on to stay and there is the Gerrard conundrum too I can only imagine Shelvey is going on loan (who has been our best player pre-season) and it has to be curtains for one of Spearing / Adam, if not both Aquilani has to be going too which is a shame as I think he is a bloody good player if a little 'yellow' Spain out of the Olympics and Uruguay having a mare, strange tournie so far!

Aquilani>joe Alan
Won't be happy if shelvey has to go on loan. Aqui going to Fiorotina for £6.75 by all accounts. If Joe Allen is worth £15 mill then some of them UAE players are worth £30 mill.
Not a Charlie Adam fan but he has been more than good in his pre season games.

Probably realises his days are done Aquilani is a odd one, what an utter waste of money (we are Liverpool I suppose), I'd love to see him have a season in the Premier League, can't help but think he would be a world beater under the likes of Wenger

On the Aquilani thing too, the Telegraph are reporting he is on 125k a week. ONE HUNDRED and TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS.....A WEEK - 6.5m a year No wonder we want rid! His wages over the next two years are 13m and we've apparently agreed a fee of 7m so that should cover the whole of the Allen deal completely should it happen

I'm a little amazed Liverpool haven't got the best out of Aquilani, I've seen him a few times and was very impressed with him. I can't see Allen being anywhere as good as him!

looks like Arsenal will sign Santi Cazorla by wednesday and Nuri Sahin on loan from Real Madrid with an option to buy. Pretty decent turnout by us this year if they come off, Podolski, Giroud, Cazorla, Sahin, we'd have good strength in depth even after RVP goes.
