Good business by Man U. I'm not sure he'll gel well with Kaka personally.

I'm pretty sure Man United scouts have been tracking players though they need established players.

Ronaldo, Kaka and Messi are the 3 best attacking players in the World and none of them will be in the Premiership.

Who else is there?

Ribery apparently doesn't like the weather in the UK. Benzema is a possibility. Ronaldinho?

I know Ferguson will be in charge this season but is he really just planning to rebuild? Talks of 5 more years seem ambitious and I would have thought he would just be trying to win as much silverware each season.
--------------
Fair play to Ronaldo he was superb at Man U and will be hugely missed.

Cant blame Ronaldo for leaving imo, he wanted to go last year and gave us one more good season, plenty of spending money to invest. Id like to see Benzema come in, not too keen on Ribery I dont think it represents good value for money, as of now we need a replacement for Ronaldo obviously, and a world class centre midfielder imo because we are well short in that department.

Valencia is being lined up to replace Ronaldo and Dave Whelan says he is happy to go if a figure of £16 -£20 Million can be agreed upon.

TBH Ive not seen alot of valencia only few MOTD clips, heard good things though. There never going to get in a player who individually can match ronaldo but hopefully with that sort of cash they can bring in 2-3 world calss players in and make the team better overall

Valencia is a natural right winger and with exceptional pace and a good delivery he will be a great asset to any top team. As a Wigan fan obviously I will be gutted if and when he goes but he could have gone last season but he was happy to stay and by doing that he as probably added £10 million on to his value.

i personaly think fergie had a gentlemans agreement that if ronaldo stayed the season gone.he could leave this summer.his body language and sulking at most decisions was the giveaway to me.i also think that it will take more than kaka and ronaldo to improve madrids results at i.e. liverpool and barca.

I think United should try and get David Villa, but I hear Real Madrid are trying to buy him too, and Chelsea!

Ronaldo will be difficult to replace but i'm sort of glad the whole will/won't he is over. He's not bigger than the team and if he doesn't want to stay then there's no point united holding back any longer.

For all his theatrics, he was and still is a brilliant player - that can't be denied.

Get rid of that useless tw@t Nano too.

i heard today Valencia rejected a bid for him immediately from Chelsea as he is in advanced talks with Madrid

as good a player Ronaldo is you're better off without his ego in your team and for that price you can't really argue, good riddance to the diving little cheat

All in all its great business for the Premier League Champions Manchester United.  A great return for a player bought for only 12 and a bit million,  both on and off the pitch. He has given the United faithfull some great times and magic moments and also made the club a LOT of money. Whether United seen the best of him on the pitch remains to be seen  Smiley

United have let big name players go in the past Beckham, RVN, Roy Keane, Paul Ince, Andrei Kanchelskis, Jaap Stam, Eric Djemba Djemba etc but they have allways recovered. We still have a VERY strong squad and no doubt Fergie will add to it with £80 million heading Old Traffords way  Cool

I personally would have Ribery AND Schweinstieger  Cool but it looks like we may have to settle for Tevez and Valencia  Smiley possibly Benziema  Smiley
