DAVID HAYE fans have been allocated 7,000 tickets when he faces Wladimir Klitschko in the world heavyweight unification fight in Hamburg on July 2.

Where has this come from?  My first thought was that this is a minimal amount, but realistically how many fans do we expect to make the journey.  I'm thinking that 7000 would be a decent British turnout as from reading between the lines I'm not sure if there's a huge fan base that will travel similar to the Hatton days.

Plus 7000 can make a hell of a noise.

Got to agree with you i think 7000 would be good travellign support in tough economic times and its not the cheapest place to get to for us northerners.

I believe the info originally came out in an article in the Sun.

I imagine it means that people who have registered with the link Haye provided get first dibs on the tickets, then they go on general sale through eventim.

Yep the way I see it is that we'll probably get an e-mail saying they are on sale at whatever time and that will be why we registered.  If you noticed, it's a 'Ticket alert' we signed up for, which I imagine is teh same as ticket master.  This then reminds me a couple of times that tickets go on sale for an event I want to see at whatever date and time the sale begins.

what a load of tosh that is

what it basically means is eventim.co.uk get 7,000 tickets, and eventim.de get the rest

so in reality there could easily be more than 7,000 travelling for the fight, although i doubt it

you can't stick a set number on the Brit's who are allocated tickets though when they could just go through eventim.de

Its the way Haye used 'remainder' of tickets first come first served, that confused me.  That suggests there are some tickets already gone, Is that the people have have registered to eventin already, or is he saying after the 7000 UK ones have gone you can still get tickets but would be with the German allocation.

Maybe I am just reading into this wrong and purely means its all first come first served, and the ticket alert will just be an e-mail to say tickets will be on sale on ??/??/?? at ?? o'clock.  Giving us a heads up to be poised at our computers ready.

you can buy from the english oen or german one stright from the off, so can the germans.

registering will only get you and email saying when tickets are going on sale nothing else.

hope that clears everything
