...AND THE NEW!!!

Hes definately a contraversial big character, they seem to do well in boxing and boxing does well because of people like booth.

Diplomats are better tucked away unseen bashing out deals for fighters,

Promoters and trainers (to a lesser degree) should be outspoken, headline grabbing and conspicuious thats their job. They need to be able to influence other people and get their attention wether it be positive or negative, promoting is all about gaining some mainstream recognition for your fighter.

Arum is a dick, but his contraversial statements grab headlines and news time.

Don king is a muppet but his eccentric and bold statements ensure theres always a media storm following him which in turn is good for his fighters

****** is more reserved but puts his points accross bluntly, this causes outrage and uproar regularly but again, its all part of the plan, it gets people talking. Hating. Loving. Sometimes any emotion is prefered as it grabs attention for the fighters.

Booth does it his own way but ultimately the results are the same, he makes headlines and forces people to take notice.

In short. I think I like booth.

Thank fook for that Jimjack!  I thought I was gonna be a lone voice here.  Frankly I think Booth is a good trainer, but his personality makes me want to puke!  Fookin' 'I know everything', clever attitude, swivelling eyeballs like an ugly chameleon, supercilious arrogant tosser, possibly loves himself more than Haye does.....................the list is endless.  I'd never get fed up of slapping the twot, I tell ya.  And those are just his good points!

I definitely see your point fellas....BUT...the very things you point out are part of why Booth is such an asset to Haye and Groves. That i know everything arrogant attitude is great at instilling belief in his fighters. I understand why some might not like his manner, but he really backs his fighters and that arrogance he has both cements his fighters confidence, at the same time as getting under the skin of and undermining the opponent.

And in the heat of battle, he's proven he can keep his head. He's not just a front runner, he's helped both Haye and Groves through difficult moments.

So while i can see why he p*sses some folk off, i think he's a good man to have in your corner.

I cant stand him to be honest.....Especially during the Haye Wlad negotiations.

I really hate his attitude.

i like him

he does come across as arrogant more often than not but all in all i think he's top

always good to have some charisma in the sport and i think his stubborn attitude in negotiations got David a great deal in the end for the Klitschko fight

I like him.

Dry sense of humour which a lot of people don't get, good trainer. 100% behind his fighters, had done great corner work and he calls it how he sees it.

He seems alright. Met Danny Watts while taking a slash at McCarran airport last year. He brought me out to Booth and we had abit of banter at the gate before the flight home. They were out for the Groves fight that weekend. He seemed alright to me. Although I had a few White Russians on me, most people seem sound after a few Russians. I was talkin shite to him anyway, about haye sparring bj flores, pirogs impressive win and the like. He mentioned some gobshite at the weighin wearing a Hayemaker top too. Danny Watts is no longer part of the haye camp. Haye was prob pissed off after he wrapped his sports car around a lamppost.

Yeah I read in boxing news he'd left the team a couple of months back. Was a sound bloke as well.

In the words of Danny last July Vegas 'he won't be fighting audley that's for sure' obviously a honest guy as well lol

That's right Faulks, I asked them about Audrey too, Watts said 'ah no way mate', Booth just smirked! He knew what was going on.

Thought the banter on behind the ropes with Adam and George was pretty good when Adam was saying "We might have got it wrong George" when talking about DeGales chances.

yeh that was quite comical

Really something u dont see.

Degale is all about ''i dont even consider losing''

Groves and booth were so confident they were feigning doubt ''shit man we might lose this'' (mock worried look)

Cant stand the bug eyed twat.
He talks to respected trainers like they are no nothing clowns, he has a sinister air about him, he looks and talks like he is trying to hypnotise you and invite you into his wierd cult... in short the Charlie Manson of boxing.

Preach it brother!...preach!!  Grin Grin

I've never liked Booth, his arrogance is sickening and the sheer ennormity of his smugness is difficult to tolerate.. even describe. His weirdness in front of the cameras, the over the top pouting and posing... every inch of this cretin makes my blood boil. There is something perverse about him, perverse and seedy.

I saw an old interview by him the other day on youtube and he came across as a cool guy..what the fook happened??
The guy has got old looking to... Undecided
