Don't understand the hate, old man. What he does, works. End of.

Read again, oh anxious one.  I gave him credit for his training skills.  It's his demeanor, attitude and character which are utter shite!   Wink

Preach it brother!...preach!!  Grin Grin

I've never liked Booth, his arrogance is sickening and the sheer ennormity of his smugness is difficult to tolerate.. even describe. His weirdness in front of the cameras, the over the top pouting and posing... every inch of this cretin makes my blood boil. There is something perverse about him, perverse and seedy.

I saw an old interview by him the other day on youtube and he came across as a cool guy..what the fook happened??
The guy has got old looking to... Undecided

Rock on!   Grin

Is it just me or is anyone else a bit shocked at the w@nker sign Booth directed towards the opposition last night when the result was announced?  Totally classless and unnecessary in my opinion, and well OTT when emotions are running high like that.  I would expect him to face a severe reprimand for such irresponsible behaviour in the ring, if not a tidy fine?  Or am I just getting old?

Thought he was outstanding in the corner during the fight... and then reverted to the classless cnut he is.

booth was very calm and didnt say anything in the run up, just that everyone would be eating humble pie when the time came....he was spot on

Mcdonnell was horrible wretch especially in that presser before the fight, that image of him jumping up and down clapping his hands like a little weasel when degale was offering to stake his purse on the outcome of the fight made me sick

Booth just sat back and when his man won I thought the 'tosser' sign at that particular moment was pure justice.

Be fair to the guy in all the post fight interviews after hes been really conservative again and mature. It was his one little outburst that ill give him as it was perfectly placed in my eyes

well deserved, DeGale's been a classless C*** in the whole build up to the fight, one wanker sign to them is well justifiable!

It's just you. I thought it was a classic move by Booth. The guy is pure class, understated yet totally knowledgeable. He put up with all the shit from the Defail camp, and did so with good grace. This was a perfectly justified and well-timed two second outburst. One of the sweetest moments I've ever seen in the boxing ring. Then when we met him at ringside after the fight, he was totally gracious again, and took the time to shake everyone's hand.

Have to say having watched the fight back, i like Booths composure in the corner. Each set of instructions he gave to George were given so as George would hear and understand them.
He did not try to fill George's head with too much in one go, each session was like and individual lesson rather than hammering his fighter with all kinds like some trainers do.

While he still can be irritating at times, he was brilliant on saturday.

its not just a one off either, hes been spot on for haye and groves through thick and thin - does booth train any1 else? I have a feeling he will only be suitable for certain fighters. Groves and haye are similiar in that theyre fairly down to earth and understand boxing themseleves, they are willing to take on board advice but they have a supreme inner belief in themselves.

I think booth is a fantastic trainer but he probably wont work for a lot of boxers. Will be interesting to see who he trains after haye has retired

I think Ashley Sexton has recently joined Hayemaker and is being trained by Booth.  In the past he has said that he may leave the sport once Haye and Groves have retired.  Obviously that should be a fair way off for Groves but it will be a shame if he does bow out as whenever I  have seen him in the corner he has always given great advice and seems to come up with great gameplans for his fighters.  Maybe Jim McDonnell could ask him for a few tips  Grin

Wow, son, not like you to be so one-sided and biased towards any given person?  Oh yeah, tell us again how you arrived at the 9 rounds to 3 in favour of Groves?   Grin Grin Grin
