The scum interviewed on the news are all the same.
Between the age of 16 - 25, normally black, complaining about the way they are treated by the police and the govnerment (deliberate) init!
These people are not taking some kind of political stand they are opportunist scum jumping on the back of another woe is me tale from another gangster family.
This is the time for Cameron to really show what he is made of, lets see what he does when there is trouble on his own streets. All too ready to deploy troops to some shithole back water to try to control the savages that live there.
Send in the army or give the police more power to use weapons. Rubber bullets, water canons whatever it takes... round them up and put them on some of the navy carriers we've already fuckin decomissioned and ship them all out to sea. Get 10 miles off the coast and sink the C***.

genuinly support this... sick of it now.

The police are tied by PC laws, its like even the rioters (yes rioters not protesters) have more rights than a hardworking shop owner

The bigger problem is the amount of police officers on the street! The scum are ahead of the police, like in camden they were looting for over an hour before the police turned up.

This is of course just another product of the Blair years, where the villains and drugs dealers have roamed freely with total impunity, reigning supreme over the hand-wringing wet brigade of senior Police Officers who now infest the higher echelons of every Force (oh sorry, we now have to call it the Police Service, NOT Force).  There was some Deputy Commissioner on telly this morning and he could've become an immediate national hero.  All he had to say was that as of today, we're gonna take back the streets and enforce the rule of law, using troops, water cannons, rubber bullets, whatever means are necessary.  Any rioters from now on can expect to receive serious injury in their pursuit, maybe even life threatening.  We've had enough of this and it won't be tolerated any longer.  From hereon it's a 'slay 'em in the streets policy'.
What did he actually say?  "We intend to work with the community and will consider all means whilst going forward"  What?  Oh, right, half a dozen clichés and some popular soundbites in a transparent attempt to hide the fact you're clueless, and just trying to regain some popular media opinion then?  I give up!   Roll Eyes

If this was going on in Dublin i think the Gardai would have this type of thing sorted quickly.

My area got done yesterday - didn't get as much coverage on the news as I don't think they really had the reporters on the ground. Most shops done down the high street, loads of cars smashed up, bus and shops set on fire. Wankers the lot of them, old bill need to start treating them like they do us football boys, not worried about being set loose and whacking us all, also not afraid to dish out the CS spray so they need to start dishing out to these C**ts too!

I just find it disgusting what its all over, police killing someone who wanted to kill them, what is it going to take till authorities higher up take notice of how we look, not good for the olympics as the images are being beemed around the world

The riots are a symptom of our society that has been growing and growing since the late 70's and early 80's.

We now live in a land of religious, colour and class divides. Where prejudgment rains supreme. Where you go to fill up your car and get it cleaned and can liaise with 5 different people, of different colour and none of which have a good grasp of the English language.

We then shove these immigrants into the welfare system alongside our own home-grown leeches. We then reward their idleness with free bundles of cash and a free home on an estate or in a tower block.

We then patrol these areas like an open prison system. They are free to roam, but their lack of education and upbringing means they will never truly go anywhere. The focus of their minds are the prison guards aka The Police.

Within these circles there is an undergroud class system, where the nastiest and most criminal become hero's and gain the most respect. These commanders then run the hoodies into carrying drugs, weapons and fencing stolen goods. The hoodies oblige due to peer pressure, and a sense of belonging that they should have gotten through family or working full time amongst normal people.

They will in turn have their own kids (typically at a young age) and then become even more driven to steal and bully their way through life and shout "its for my family" like some martyr who has no choice.

This cycle/trend will get thicker and thicker in years to come. And the only way to salvage and remedy the problems are being taken away.

The BSF project was the very first thing the new government cancelled (building schools for the future) whereby acadamies of all the very latest technology for IT, music production and creativity for these kids would interest and inspire them to pursue something professionally.

The second thing was the youth centers and community centers. The Govt has slashed their budgets and shut many down. Most youth places are charity-lead and fight for survival with the help of youth workers on low wages or even voluntary.

The third point is the policing. They have been dumbed down, slashed in numbers and had their ability to do anything completely taken away. So when the criminal element do step out of line, were pretty powerless to address it in the correct manner.

The next gen of hoodies will be far worse in 15 years time. As we'll have a mix of immigrant children shut-out from society swelling the problem.

Good post Red so true Bristol in my eyes is a time bomb waiting to go off big time its a City that had a big part to play in the slave trade a lot of the City is named  with referance  to the slave trade (black boy hill white ladys road) yet what do the coucil do they house white folk over 1 part of the City and the black folk in st pauls adding a devide to the poeple of Bristol race riots having been going on in Bristol since the 60s and to this day the City is devided Black and White and thats a disgrace for a modern City.
Im sure the same stuff happens all over England but its riots like this that will force the  goverments to use a marshell law plan high city walls no one goes out after 7pm that sort of shit a step backwards 2000 years.

Agree, there was a clip yesterday of 6-8 riot officers being pushd bac by a group of 15-20 lads throwing rocks, cones etc. I guarantee you give one of those riot cops a gun and those 15-20 lads will break Usain Boltz world record.
