Good post Hoover.
I do not think you can put this down to any kind of government because as many have said, even if offered a job half of these lot would no doubt say no its not good enough.
The polish and whatever nationalities people are looking to have a go at are here doing the jobs scum smashing the shop window think they are above, such as picking crops, shit paid factory jobs etc etc.
It seems a very normal british thing to do now that as soon as we have any national problems, blame the imigrants who are here and working 12 hour days to provide for there families what we all want for our own. Sure there are some than rape the country with claims of chile bennefits for kids not even living here, but the blame there lies with the legislation.
If i had to chose though i would sooner send some but gusting imigrants kid child support who lives abroad, than pay some useless lazy yob the rock n roll.
arron your spot on im sick of hearign about folk maoning about immigrents and eastenr europeans who basically keep the country';s head above water ... we know they do the jobs that lazy fuckers dont want to do ... how many of they forlk rioting do yo uthink would clean and work in kitchens? We know the answer the sooner we have a goverment who is tough on lazy bassas the better i know up here in scotland we are having a referendum on independence in a few years(diffrence subject and i m amybe moving ina tangent) ,one beneficial thing of it would be that the "Welfare" state would be under scruitiny and we could have a good oppertunity t o change it as its easierto do it with a country of 6 million as oppsed to 70 odd million that the uk has ...

A wise man once told me that to earn respect, you have to give respect. I think its quite clear that this generation and the police force have little or no respect for each other, so i think the government should focus more on how to get the next generation to respect police/authority, because this generation quite simply, doesnt give a sh!t.

You haven't a clue what you are talking about. British People aren't even getting a look in on these 'shit' jobs that were the bread and butter for many people who left school without grades.

so bored of hearing people on the news coming up with reasons as to why it all started....was it because of the bloke who got shot in Tottenham? was in the youths protesting about something? cuts? government?...it's all bullshit. These people have no damn respect for the police or the law for that matter...when you have the confidence to stroll up to a line of riot police officers and throw a rock at them....then stroll off....or, if you have youths on TV bluntly saying 'what are they gonna do?' ...you know theres something wrong with discipline in this country. The police haven't been bashing skulls as much as they should be, charging at them and allowing them to run away is effective as telling them 'if you don't sort out your behaviour at the count of 10, you're in trouble'....to an adult.
There's no excuse for just robbing shops all over the place....look at Japan in March, an Earthquake and Tsunami which wiped out homes and everything they have...did they loot? nope...they got in a f***ing queue.

Some good points there Joe, It needs to be questioned why they feel they can act that way though to stop this happening in the future. Lack of opportunities has a big part to play in this imo.

Am sure some factories are making it hard but as most people say, if you want a job bad enough you will find one. No job is bread and butter for anybody now and neither should it be, it just allows people to go through life without any ambition because they know they can easy find a job to pick up a few hundred pound a week.

You have minimum wage over there. Why would a supermarket or shop paying minimum wage want to employ an eastern European over a local? They wouldn't. But they've no choice because the locals would rather fleece the benefits than work minimum wage. If it's cash in hand and not going into the books, then that's different and it's the employer who is responsible. You can't over complicate this. It's as simple as that. Please explain you're thoughts.

I know from experience how hard it is to get a job in the current climate, Thankfully im in work now but when i was unemployed, I was sending out 30 applications a week sometimes and not hearing anything back, I did several courses to increase my chances... People with a lot better qualifications than i were getting knocked back also. Believe it or not theres a lot of good people out there who have been forced in to poverty by companies taking on europeans over brits. You ask ur mate how many polish an lithuanians etc roll up in the job centre looking for work...Not one because they are militant and go straight to the companies. I dont blame them i just think its a joke how many are here and have the cheek to say 'you should be able to find work because you are British' When the truth is employer's are picking them over people born & bred in the uk. Going a bit off topic i know...

so because they have the initiative to go to the employers direct they shouldent be employed? also your talkign rubbish about them not going into the job centre ,there will be some that go in ...your just making sweeping genralisations on things . i know also how hard it is to get a job ,but i also know how lazy some folk are because in some circumstances (not all) there y can earn more on benefits than taking a min wage job ,its that bad even the tories acknowledge that before they undertook there review of the welfare system (still on going i think ) that certain circumstnaces folk dont have any incentive to get out to work ... this coupled with the workshy attitude some folk hold that is why the "eastern europeans" get the jobs .
