Yeah the original, why did they remake it?

The remake is a tv version. But it's less a remake and more an entirely different adaptation of the book. The tv version is actually much closer to the novel. The film, not so much but Nicholson is hilarious in it with his over the top performance.

Yup I looked it up earlier. Remember seeing it years ago though - 2 parter

The Kubrick film is a masterpiece though
