In a recent interview, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva said he would take on Chael Sonnen if Sonnen agreed to fight in Silva's native country of Brazil. Well, Sonnen has given his response via Twitter.

"I accept Anderson. Brazil it is. Now then, about that meal," Sonnen posted on his account late Sunday night.

UFC president Dana White made some remarks about the UFC returning to Brazil and holding a card in June in Sao Paulo, but nothing has been locked down. Also, Silva is currently sidelined due to bursitis in his shoulder and it is possible that Sonnen is signed to a match before getting his rematch with the champion.

The last part of Sonnen's message is directed at comments he made earlier this year during an interview when he said he wanted Silva's wife to make him dinner. "The Spider" didn't take to kindly to those words.

Just for the bitchyness of this demand, I hope Sonnen smashes him.

Sonnen was smashing him before a last minute submission in the 5th.  Expect more of the same.

Then again Silva is a special fighter so may make the necessary adjustments or may even have just had a bad night in their fight.

It's common knowledge Silva had rib damage going into that fight v Sonnen. Which may (or may not) have effected the way the fight went.
Silva's weakness is against wrestlers who don't give him time to think and time to settle before being pounced on. This is what Sonnen will do again no doubt. Though something tells me Silva is going to KO Sonnen as he rushes in for a takedown.

True but rib injury or not, your ribs don't effect your chin and wasn't Silva flawed twice with head shots??
Yeah maybe a peak Silva might have judged the distance better and avoided those shots, or maybe not. Maybe it was the pressure style of Sonnen that got to Silva. Like Shogun got to Machida.

I think it will be competitive again, but you know Silva will more than likely pull that rabit out of the hat again. I'd like to see Sonnen win this.

You are right. Styles make fights. Maybe for all the brilliance of Silva, Sonnens relentless style will always give him problems
