Just curious on peoples opinions here, how do people think he would have faired against Ward in that form last night.

Ward wins on points but with a pair of red slap marks on both cheeks

calzghe loses
it would be calzaghe v hopkins but this time ward wouldnt tire like hopkins did and would have the finish on him to bring home yet another decision win.,

Please don't do this You know everyone is going to say a Ward win. With hatred in there eyes instead of thinking about how the fight will play out.

There you go now mate.......2 people out of 5 post have Calzaghe.
Put it this way, he would have destroyed froch in that form anyway. No question.

Ward wins on points but with a pair of red slap marks on both cheeks hahahahah classic . Very tough fight , as im a huge ward fan but i guess it all depends on the judges . Volume punching vs Accurate pot shots . The good thing about ward is that he can also revert to volume punching especially on the inside which can persuade the judges. Good fight , have to give it to ward but can go either way depending on the judges. I personally prefer ward style and if i was a professional judge , i would give him the UD .

I think Joe beats him. Ward was really feeling the pace the last 2 rounds. Calzaghe would have thrown 1000 punches and dominated the 2nd half of the fight IMHO.

Thats the way i see it, slapping punches or not, when someone can throw that many shots it would tire anyone, Ward really felt it in the 11 and 12 last night, with very little pressure from froch. I think sheer workrate would have edged a decision Joe's way.

Calzaghe for me at the moment if we're talking prime for prime. It's ok bringing up the B-Hop fight but Joe was knocking on by then too. Wards got time on his side though, there may be more to come from him yet

I'll go with Calzaghe on points in a close fight but it wouldn't be a formality.
