Show me the posts where I've said he's ducking anybody...

My criticism is and always was fighting barker and macklin is pointless he won't gain any additional credit or enhance any kind of legacy...

He has possibly a couple of effective years left, i for one don't want to see them wasted anymore on euro/domestic opponents.

Him dropping the belt is the best thing to do and hopefully dropping 6 pounds aswell to enter a much more exciting 154 division.

Marg rematch, Cotto, Canelo, Kirkland come on Serg make it happen, earn your status...

Marg finished beating him doesn't enhance his reputation it just settles an old score.

Marg could lose his good eye, age another ten years, have a few more losses and it would still be a more relevant fight and a more competitive fight than against Macklin.

If he did atleast someone outside of the west midlands in the uk would know who his opponent was.

Grin I can see why you would think that however all i am is a boxing fan who wants the man every legit boxing rankings calls the 3rd best fighter on the planet to fight above european level.

I also like to counter balance the massive over hyping of Martinez... i.e posters who make wild suggestions like he would walk through Cotto with ease.

Well I would agree with the Cotto thing, nobody walks through Cotto with ease.

Sergio is a skilled guy but a Cotto that uses his brain is also, it would be a good fight I would like to see.

I would not mind seeing the Cotto vs Manny rematch, I think the Cotto that boxes and does not get dragged into a trade off can give Manny trouble. Say for instance if Cotto adapted the approach like he fought the cheato rematch I would like to see what Manny would do against that. But more than anything just use his jab and alike.

It would be a great fight Sergio can be hit and Barker showed he struggles dealing with the basics. He also keeps his hands by his waist alot of the time... someone with Cotto's power and skill could give him more trouble then he could handle...

As for a Cotto v Manny rematch i just don't see from the first fight what Cotto could change or adapt. He was just picked to pieces by the faster, better, smarter boxer... where as with the Marg fight he was always the stronger boxer he just made tactical errors in the first fight and for all we know was cheated.

Macklin deserves the shot against Martinez. I don't know how anyone can say otherwise.

Martinez is a breath of fresh air. He speaks his mind.

Ridiculous statement.

Judging by your rankings then Irish Degale, Groves and Brook all deserve p4p level opponents

All of those 3 including Macklin have had success at European level but have no even minor world level success

Give me just one victory on Macklins CV that says i deserve a crack at the 3rd best fighter on the planet...

Correction : Martinez was temporarily a breath of fresh air now he's gone back for fighting nobodys like 3 years ago...

Since when did losing to a extremely weak champion get you a shot in the same division at best in the weight class...
