Styles make fights, its gonna be an entertaining fight while it lasts.
The critics will say that Cotto is Pacman's left overs and there is truths to that, but his mental state and morale is much better now than when he faced Pac.
He's riding off 3 stoppage wins,Better trainer, fighting at his weight without being weight drained won't hurt Cotto's cause and if he did exorcise those Cheato demons then he will be competitive in this bout.
Looking forward to this fight even though its 3 years late .

i wondered when you would pop up trying to boost the fight in favour of the opponent to make it sound like floyds in the toughest fight of his career.

the fact is floyd knows countering cotto will be the undoing of him.

the only real advantage i see for cotto is the weight and being accustomed to it, and the fact floyd is off to jail which could play on his mind a bit.

floyd has superior boxing skills and i think the speed will trouble cotto alot!

Would love to like this fight but Cotto's faded. Floyd wins easy.

Where is your winking smiley that he would be fighting a mexican now?

I'm well pleased for Cotto if this means his highest earning fight to date, he deserves it.  He's just about my favourite fighter currently, on the world stage, on account of his no-nonsense, fight-anyone, forget the bullshit attitude.  And how I would just love to see the guy hand that little prick Mayweather his arse!  Oh God, would I.  We can all dream.   Wink

Agreed mate, I think it's fair to say Cotto has the best attitude in boxing at the moment I dont think he will win I just hope he puts in a great performance.

I will be going over for this, decided virtually as soon as it was announced.

Will make sure I get a ticket before I book flights though.

I'm going to have to go as a neutral to this one.  Normally it'd be Team Mayweather but with it being Cotto, I can't bring myself to pick a side and choose allegiances.  Let's just say I'd be happy if either guy won as they are virtually my two favourite fighters.

Looking forward to mixing with the Ricans again, those guys are crazy!

This would be awesome to get to... no chance at the minute for me unfortunately.
You must have some poke knocking around though Razz... every city game and more away fights than glen johnson. Stockport my arse, just admit it's Bramhall. Grin

So far word from Top Rank is that they have wished Cotto all the best for he fulfilled his contractual obligations before joining forces with the Rival Company for this fight, with option of another one.
Lets wait and see how long this truce will last. Undecided

Cowboy your too kind of a man to think such negative thoughts, calm yourself good friend your beginning to sound like CharlieG  Grin

As much as I would be happy for Cotto to win this, it has hardly any chance of happening sadly.

This fight does act as further evidence though that it is top rank that don't want their guys in with Floyd, the minute Miguel leaves them he gets the fight he will of wanted for years.

You have to understand that Cotto will be in a very comfortable weight he likes to be in. Why do you think he didnt take the NONSENSE from ARUM and pacman for the rematch Huh? THey wanted cotto to drop down again and be on a disadvantage and he said NO.  Also the only fight Floyd took at 154 was against Della hoya and won a split decision . Floyd maxed out at 150 on fight night so he will be a big disadvantage in weight .

I think it will be a good and tough fight but Floyd is the best boxer in the world so im sure he will take control of the fight in the middle rounds after he figures out the puerto rican.

I have had this feeling long since people started calling Cotto faded or whatever, fingers crossed he can make Floyd work.
