The press conference will be interesting, Cotto is a calm man but if anyone could wind him up outside of Margarito it would be Floyd.
I should love this fight as both guys are amongst my faves, I just can not see Cotto coming out of this without having taken a real bad beating.
i really dont think pbf will try and wind cotto up therell be no wait drained cotto,i think it will be a cracker 2 be honest,my head says pbf on points in a tough fight, but my heart always backs cotto be a good build up, 24/7 will be great to watch, and a good fight. diaz seems to be a good thinking trainer,if cotto listens when he needs to, you never know.

Floyd will time Cotto's jabs in no time, I think. Not trying to start an argument but I really think Cotto needs to go forward like a muhfuh, keep the defense tight, work the body and push Floyd back.
But even then, he's gonna lose. It's a no-brainer. Funny though that I am glad he gets this shot.
Mate can't say I agree out of Cotto and Manny I believe Cotto has the style and the ability to adapt mid fight and cause Floyd more problems than Manny would he'll be at his natural weight and I honestly feel we'll see a cracker.

A cracker, yes. But with one outcome only, imo. Cotto will not disappoint and give it his all and everything. But speed, technique and the abilities to time and adapt, they all are on Floyd's side. In addition, where Floyd is also a master of breaking the rules, a gangster of the ring, Cotto is - here to his distinct disadvantage - a noble warrior. He'll come with a knife to a gunfight and get ambushed in a dark alleyway. No way Floyd is gonna turn off his dirty tricks all of a sudden. I'm tense already now.

With Floyd's accurate Punching, perfect timing and ability to defend inside, I wouldn't give Cotto even a slight chance of winning.
Look, Cotto is great in inside fighting. we all know how good Floyd's defense is inside. he know how to use his elbows and he has a great body movements whenever pinned down.
I just can't see anything in Cotto's arsenal that will be effective against floyd. unfortunately Cotto's Style is a perfect fit to Floyd's.

Good fight for me this, I'd expect Mayweather to win on the cards but I think Cotto will be his toughest fight yet. For all Mayweathers accuracy and counter punching, he still throws single shots so I dont see a problem with Cotto taking one to give his own. I honestly don't think Cottos faded at all, he's just had to adapt his style to fighting much bigger men than he was when he first came on the scene, I'd live to see him revert back for this fight though and mix it up, he's got too because he's not going to outbox Floyd

I will watch it as im a fan of both fighters.
I dont consider it a prime cotto but at 154 he will be more comfortable than when he fought manny at 145 catchweight. So if mayweather can Get a stoppage win i'd consider it a better win.
Pacman-bradley is actually fine too, I think bradley will headnutt manny and there will be blood everywhere but pacman will bust him up over 12. I see bradley-pacman as a very very tough fight for both and will put miles on the clock of manny, which is probably mayweathers plan, he knows he is ageing better than pacman due to having fewer fights and taking less damage

I will be going over for this, decided virtually as soon as it was announced.
Will make sure I get a ticket before I book flights though.
I'm going to have to go as a neutral to this one. Normally it'd be Team Mayweather but with it being Cotto, I can't bring myself to pick a side and choose allegiances. Let's just say I'd be happy if either guy won as they are virtually my two favourite fighters.
Looking forward to mixing with the Ricans again, those guys are crazy!

I'm well pleased for Cotto if this means his highest earning fight to date, he deserves it. He's just about my favourite fighter currently, on the world stage, on account of his no-nonsense, fight-anyone, forget the bullshit attitude. And how I would just love to see the guy hand that little prick Mayweather his arse! Oh God, would I. We can all dream.

So is Cotto Pacquiao's leftovers like Hatton,Mosley and De La Hoya were supposedly his leftovers?
It's not a bad fight, but it's hard to get excited about. This fight should have happened four years ago when they were in their prime and the two best fighters in their own division.

Styles make fights, its gonna be an entertaining fight while it lasts. The critics will say that Cotto is Pacman's left overs and there is truths to that, but his mental state and morale is much better now than when he faced Pac. He's riding off 3 stoppage wins,Better trainer, fighting at his weight without being weight drained won't hurt Cotto's cause and if he did exorcise those Cheato demons then he will be competitive in this bout. Looking forward to this fight even though its 3 years late .
