Gallen missed last with the Sharks. Lewis is as good as ever, Jennings has been woeful but I think they're hoping he'll just come good for the big stage. He's been dropped a couple of times this year already. Hayne is playing in the worst Eels team possibly ever, statistically anyway! They are shite though, as are the Panthers at the mo.

Carney is key man on Wednesday, if he can run the show like he done for Cronulla they're in with a shot. The QLD backs however? You may as well be naming your dream team!

C can't bloody wait!! I LOVE S.O.O!!!!

Yes I heard about Jennings being dropped and Hayne copped a lot of flak in the press last season and I don't think he as been brilliant this year. Hayne though on his day is a game changer but where do they play him if its on the wing its pointless he won't have much of a impact its got to be at fullback or centre. I think Carney is a good choice they are blessed with a lot of choice at SOO level but I have seen a few of them get exposed the last few years. Trent Barrett was thrown in in his last year as a pro then it was Campese and Soward is to much a defensive weak link to risk him.
You would think NSW would have a big advantage squad wise but they just seem not to play as a team. The QLD team just replace one world class player with another its mad that Lockyer a Guy who as played more SOO than anybody won't get missed now Thurston is at 6 with Cronk at 7. Daly Cherry Evans is 18th man just sums up how good the QLD squad is when he can't get a place.

The Aussies can't handle the fact that James graham is ripping it up and getting such good press so they try anything to take credit away from an Englishman. James Graham's all round game is better than what most Aussie props are producing and they hate it.

It may have something to do with players having vaseline all over the hands after tackling him and possibly wiping it in there own eyes as they sweat. I heard one player rubbed a load in Graham's face last week after tackling him. There is no doubt he is playing well but he as a long way to go to show he is up with the best forwards in the NRL. I can name 12 forwards now who are levels above Graham showing he can do it year in year out and at test level will win them over.

Your one of the ones that have an infinite hard on over all things Aussie and NRL though. Name me 12 props who have played better so far this season than Graham.

There maybe 12 Aussies that have a "better established reputation" than him but I'm talking about form, now. His alround game for a prop is a top quality.

He is not even named in the top 10 props in this article written by a very well respected RL writer in Paul Arandale only last month. When you take into consideration that Paul Gallen who is the best utility forward in the world and is playing prop for NSW on Wednesday is not on that list it just shows how much as to do to win them over. FuiFui Moimoi, Sam Burgess, David Shillington and Keith Galloway are also absent from that list too.
The problem with you and many other Saints fans is that you think a player who is good at SL level automatically is going to be great in the NRL. Jamie Lyon, Trent Barrett, Matt King, Pat Richards and the Monaghan brothers have all come over and made a big impact at SL level but have about 20 international and SOO caps between them. I don't think any of them have played solid enough to feature at SOO for year upon year and that is the difference between good players shining at a weaker level and truly great players doing it year after year in a stronger competition.

Nah. It's pretty much just from watching his contribution in games where I make my opinion. It's not surprising burgess is missing from that list cause he isn't an Aussie either. The problem with you is anything with an Aussie accent is like sporting Viagra.

The only reason super league is not as 'strong' a competition as NRL is because there are 4 to many teams in it. Leeds, Saints, Warrington, Wigan would easily compete in the NRL now. Take out the saturation of dross players and teams and you then have better players available to make Hull, Huddersfield, Catalan et al much stronger teams and a stronger league.

Burgess isn't in that list because he as another long term injury. The top 50 players highlighted before the season in the Sydey Morning Herald at Ellis at 11 and Burgess at 18. Graham wasn't on that list either not saying again he should or shouldn't have a  bit more respect but from there point of view he as never played well against them at International level. If Graham plays well to the end of the season he will be up there but his team are pretty much had a mixed season so far.

Graham is well respected down under. They like his attitude and he fits in like a dream at the Doggies, his hands are probably one of the best sets on a front rower in the world right now.

His debut was sensational and really endeared him to the fans and commentators alike. He's got a bloody good future in Aus and will soon be mentioned alongside Burgess (Sam), Morley and Ellis IMO.

Burgess is back from injury and had a good game last weekend, Luke Burgess also came back and went pretty well. He'll not get the plaudits he probably deserves as he doesnt have the hands of Graham or put the mega shots that his brother does.

Saying that, he's not up with the best just yet, but he is still young for a prop.

Gallen and Hannant are the best front rowers there IMO

Anyone watch state of origin? Great game. Gallen had a right go at the ref, and rightly so!!

I watched the SOO thought both teams were pretty sloppy and the game was pretty even. I bet NSW look back and wonder how they let QLD get back into it when they scored first and looked on top for the first 25 mins. I thought NSW did well and some of there best players stood up and played well Gallen, Morris, Hayne, Jennings, Uate and Farah all put in a good shift but QLD just have that bit of extra quality and Thurston was outstanding.
Nice to see a bit of biff back in Origin did you see Jennings land that shot on Tate its funny it didn't drop him. It should be another close game next month NSW have to win it and I think they may do.

Think Tate summed it up well, he's come back and looked like he'd never left SOO. He was extremely good I thought, NSW don't quite have that talent pool to pick from. To have Yow Yeh get injured and pop Tate in as back up is a good place to be.

Farah held up well on debut. Wasn't sure how they were using him though as he was at first receiver a lot, it was his kick which they scored from.

Still think Jennings could be the game breaker. My god he's fast!

Also thought Hayne looked good too. If he wants to play he can really play - never realised how massive he was either until I saw them lining up for the anthems!
