I really don't see the point in car alarms.
If anyone really wants to nick your car they bypass everything anyway.
But of course when you fookin key fob doesn't work to unlock your car you carn't bypass the fooker without taking to an auto electrician and be charged for the privilege.
Twice this has now happened to the missus's car in two weeks.
The auto electricians instructions aswell as fixing it are to disable the fookin siren so when it happens again and i know it is going to happen again at least I aint annoying half the fookin street.
On a plus note the RAC turned up in 15 mins this morning which considering the weather was commendable.

I hear ya. A good immobilizer and or steering lock is a better way to go. Like you say, any thief will get in if they want to get. It's about putting enough crap in their way they won't bother.

I dont have an alarm and never will.
Always worth leaving glove box open and parcel shelf in the shed, so people can see there is nothing worth stealing.
If they are that desperate that they would break in to steal a 'standard' factory fitted stereo then your obviously in a bad place to park.

I would see if you can find a decent local auto electrician. The original equipment alarm system is electronically linked into the vehicle via whats called a can bus system and as I'm sure you have been told is not simple to bypass, however Citroen or preferably (cheaper) a decent auto electrician who have the equipment to access and programme via diagnostics should be able to programme out the alarm system.

Its with one now mate. He says the diagnostics check is saying thst there is a fault with the diesel pump which doesn't make sense to him. I'm hoping he can at least getting it going as ive seen a newer one in a local citroen garage and I will get it part-exed as soon as possible. And then await similar probelems in five years time with that one

Why alarm a turd Harvey ?
Citroen don't make bad motors... But they have terrible dealers who rip the arse out of you.
"Mmm not sure about this" is their favourite saying so when it's still broke they can charge you again "mmm we'll maybe try this"

Its not at a dealer, its at a local auto electricians. I just pray he can fix it because your right the Citroen dealer will charge a mint, as they did for a replacement key ( £150 )
