Nothing personal, mate, but that is utter bollox frankly.  Folk who support this kinda stuff have got American wrestling and Jeremy Kyle they can watch FFS.  I am utterly amazed at how many people I thought to be serious boxing fans, think this is all Ok.
1.  So you don't regard that as a proper 'bottling' then?  Great, but let's forget the bottle for a minute and turn our attentions to the attack with a camera tripod, which caused injury to his own trainer/manager, and could've been a whole lot more serious.  Do you rate that as a proper 'tripodding' then?
2.  Why were these two 'squaring off publicly' at all?  There's no history between them, Chisora is not on the supposed Haye comeback list, and there was no reason for it whatsoever, other than to appeal to the base instincts of those who would be better off behind bars!
3.  You call THIS the Heavyweight Division finally heating up?  That is about the dumbest thing I've heard on the subject ever!  If it is to 'hot up', we need someone to challenge the undoubted talents of the two guys who stood bemused watching the disgraceful spectacle being put on by these British idiots.
4.  Boxing is a sport, and as with any sport relies heavily upon the discipline it requires to be successful.  I'm not entirely sure you'll understand that, but the key is DISCIPLINE.  None of which was present with these numpties.  For folk to glorify this utter shite beggars belief and serves further to convince me that the once noble sport which I have loved has no place in modern society.  How proud I am today to be old fashioned!

You might not like the way it is....but its far from b*ll*cks mate.

Its just the truth in a world where controversy has ALWAYS sold. The behaviour of both men was obviously out of line, but humans have been behaving badly since the beginning of time, and these are fighting men....so i'm not surprised they kicked off once tempers had risen.

They aren't the first fighters to have it outside the ring and they won't be the last. Lennox Lewis who is rightly imo considered a classy fella, twice went at it outside of working hours in front of the TV cameras.

These things happen....and while neither Delboy or Dave covered themselves with glory, this incident will definitely pique the interest of the world as regards heavyweight boxing. People will ooh and aah and talk about how bad it is....but its virtually guaranteed more people will tune into watch both Haye and Chisora perform as a result of it.

If all this disgusts you from a moral standpoint then fair enough. But its just the way it is.....and far worse things go on in this world than Delboy and Dave having a bit of a ruck!

And whats wrong with Jezza.....that mans a f'kin hero  Wink

I agree with your third point. Chisora and Haye are arguably world class but this would be a fight between two British fighters and will do nothing for the heavyweight division as a whole. I agree with your bottle point also. There's no correct way to bottle somebody is there.

Well yes there is

To 'bottle' somebody you have to physically break the bottle over a persons head

I thought I saw glass shatter over Chisora's head to begin with but it may have been the drink splash.

It was Lemonade

Ron Lewis from The Times was right next to them when it kicked off and tweeted that Haye had not bottled him

The bottle was intact right until it hit the floor

Yeah, I've just had another look at the pic and it looks like Haye is holding the bottle by the tip and slammed it into Chisora sideways. At first, I thought he was holding a bit of glass and covered his hand over it but it doesn't appear so now.

dont blame haye to be honest, when someone as unpredictactable as chisora comes towards you taking his jacket off probably best to get your shots off first rather than wait to see what that lunatics going to do.
To be honest I do blame haye .he wanted exposure to get another crack .when the press conf was f-ck all to do with him.to be honest though I thought he had retired so really he was just a spectator.

hahaha this is funny. It's considered bottle somebody only if it breaks.

Ive heard it all.

Back on subject - Both are jokers and ive always hated Chisora for what he did ( cheapshot ) and then spit .

Hope HAYE really does a number on this clown even though i thought David was out of line as well.

lol this is so wwe

im part of the crowd who thinks its great publicity, any publicty is good for boxing, it thrives on contraversy and villains for years , always has and always will. Muhammed ali was revered by fans and casuals the world over but was one of the most displicable human beings to frazier in the run up to their fights, yet no1 ever mentions it now.

The klitchkos have been steamrolling all their opposition lately and are pretty dull inside and outside the ring, now u get 2 brash contraversial fighters who have both taken the klitchkos 12 rounds and are causing a storm outside the ring too.

its what the heavyweight division has needed, a shakeup and a storyline.

I wondered when you would crawl down from the moral highgrounds. Or as you would say: I wondered WHEN you WOULD climb DOWN FROM the moral HIGHGROUNDS

Please enlighten me here because in England, in order to 'bottle' somebody the said bottle has to come into direct contact with the victim

Something that did not, sorry, DID NOT happen last night

ok.. personally i thought the behaviour was disgraceful, but i do think there will be a good fight at the end of it so for boxing its good.

there will be the whole re-run of the event last night in the build up and make for an exciting night.

i dont agree with what happened so please dont confuse my two views on it.

i will say though, remember when we had morales and barerra kicking off or lewis and tyson.. its all good the numbers.

i for one cannot wait for the fight to happen because to me this is real needle between two heavies which HAS to happen.

These guys (Chisora/haye) are all hot air. They make out as though they are really tough when people are there to intervene and hold them back... though when the bell rings and the fight is on... they are clueless.

The klitchko's are so dominant that these 2nd division guys have to build drama to simply co-exist within the same weight division. They have no where to go... its a dead end... with neither of them willing to do the hard graft to actually get good enough to defeat the champs with all the belts.

Haye embarrassed himself with the whole "my toe was i'll" thing. Chisora just told him what any man on the street has already said. Chisora is a limited fighter that has no choice but to elevate his status through controversy - he isnt going to be box office through sheer skill and excitement.

It was as entertaining as many brawls uploaded on Youtube, the difference is when the bell rings the excitement ends.
