Yeh, I had a cracking weekend in Hamburg and of course I was disappointed that the fight didnt go the way we expected but it wasnt that bad a fight god we have witnessed a lot worse.
How does that make me a mug?
You have attended a worse fight than that?

I guess its what people perceive to be entertaining.
I dont care much for seeing two fighters cuddling and high fiving before a contest so for me i enjoyed all the banter with the beheaded tshirts etc
it was what it was, im going to do what it takes to wind the klits up and id say that had Haye been a PR company working on a project for someone else his winding up was a 100% success.
This for me is about entertainment as a paying punter and as far as im concerned its much better to have some outside of the ring wind ups to ramp the promotion.
I was one of the many who got soaked in Hamburg.
Do I regret going there, absolutley not.
Would I do it again? 100% yes I would.
Your right, it's amusing. Like I said, I'm not arsed - I see it for what it is. But if your looking for an audit trail on how a person goes from being a fan - to downright disliking him and thinking he's full of shit, well I think I've shown plenty of proof. I was expecting blood and guts, not little piggies and sandals. It was a startlingly meek effort. And a laughable excuse. I'm sure loads of peeps had a cracking time right up until the bell rung.... then it was 12 forgettable rounds, Piss wet through before fighting tooth and nail in the freezing weather to get back to the hotel.

He promised the earth, didn't turn up, let a lot of people down, came up with a lame excuse. We all know that.
Doesn't mean he started it on Saturday.
And I would travel to watch him again. I like his showmanship, even if I don't know how he has the cheek to do it this time.

They didn't, it was the nature of the abject surrender, together with the 'toe' excuse! And after giving it all the fat-gob stuff. He was pathetic, and so justifies the ridicule. End of
He gave it all the 'fat-gob stuff' to sell the fight, something that obviously worked as you forked out to go over and watch him! You can't suddenly turn on him now and say he ran his mouth after he lost when you were buying it all before the fight!

So he is allowed to talk fight a champion, fight like a fanny and people are expected to not change any opinions of him? Fact is, regardless of the result he failed in every single area. He had shown nothing to all those who travelled over their, had he fought hard and lost I would agree with you Hitman but with the performance he put in I just can't agree. Gibbo, atleast you left Hatton vs Pac knowing that Ricky for what it lasted had a go and put in what he could. You sat throught 36 minutes of falling, half arsed bullshit and did not get so much as an apology from the prick.

Not as cheap as the couple of digs Chisoras trainer threw !!! Just as well he did as Haye had taken care of Dereck pretty easy from one of the videos I saw. Nice elbow to the back

To be fair, if I was a pro boxer fighting someone a couple of inches taller, couple of stone heavier, with longer arms, I think I would have used the same game plan as Haye.
Mayweather can back it up yes, he is 5ft8 I think, fights officially at 10st7, 72" reach, Haye gave up 3 inches in height, 3 inches in reach and 30lbs in weight to Wlad. In comparison, how would you think Mayweather would fight against a Light Heavyweight Chad Dawson who is 6ft1, weighs in at 175lbs, and has a reach of 76" (similar differences as those of Haye Vs Wlad) I bet he would "run" and try and pick him off, but if Dawson never gave him the oportunity, it would probably be the same fight as Haye Vs Wlad. Only other difference is Haye actually did get in the ring (eventually) with someone that held so many advantages over him, Mayweather would never do that to the same extreme. (I know heavyweight is an unlimited weight class but you know what I mean!)

Actually I was having reservations about him well before this fight. I went in a group of fellas and it was combined into a stag do also for one of our number. But nonetheless, I really don't see your thinking there. The more anyone bought into his bullshit, the more disappointed they would be with that shite performance, surely? And then to blame it all on his poorly little toe - well, that just leaves me lost for words! I don't know how the guy has the brass neck to still show his face after all that. But he loves himself of course. The more I see this incident between him and Chisora, the more tawdry and disgraceful it becomes. For me, the essentials of boxing are controlled aggression and discipline, not spitting, bitch slapping, hitting with a bottle and camera tripod. I can see that outside any club on an average Saturday night!
