If it was Froch saying "bet on me losing in the 5th round" then he did, that would be a problem.

I don't know a fine or something. Didn't the British boxing board of control want to talk to him? If more people new who the hell he was it would surely be putting the sport in disrepute. It's like Joe Hart coming out and saying he let a goal go in because his family had a bet on it.
Its nothing like Joe Hart saying he let a goal go in because his family had a bet on it. Thats match fixing, what Carl did was common place, the difference is he has come out and said it. I mean, do you honestly think Manny couldnt have finished of Mosley? he carried him for most of the fight. |

Thats match fixing, what Carl did was common place, the difference is he has come out and said it. I mean, do you honestly think Manny couldnt have finished of Mosley? he carried him for most of the fight.
While I really like this forum and most of the posters are really knowledgeable. Neutrals can't really get there points across when it comes to any subject that involves Carl Froch. 90% of most forums realise their is something really unfair with it. He's given his family an unfair advantage giving them inside information that hasn't been made public, boxing fans (and worse his own fans) are then going out and placing their bets not knowing he has nothing else on his mind than a round 5 KO even to carry his hurt opponent to that round. Why is that so hard to understand?  |

I'll tell you the reason 90% of this forum aren't interested. Because this topic was done when his autobiography came out a year ago.
It's old news, but I'm sure Carl will still go to heaven yet.
It's not like he's raped, juiced or ran someone over and killed them.

I'd be shocked if he did... Muslims are not meant to gamble, so his brother wouldn't be rd betting. I know what you mean though, he wod be a cheating little scumbag who is so arrogant that he carried a fighter even though that extra round could have killed the poor man.
Froch should have made these predictions public knowledge in a braggart type way, that way he could have said he was just carrying out a prediction, this way just looked underhand.

Why is that so hard to understand? I dont like it and im a Froch fan....as I said before David Haye did the same with the Harrison fight. Froch should never of metioned it tbh. Other night I had money on Wlad Klitschko winning in rounds 1-3....he won in the 4th but it was painfully clear that he could have won in any round he wanted to. |

Well I'd love to see how our approach compares with the members there. You keep dragging this old thread up weeks after it was discussed. Do you have an agenda ? |
