Wilfredo Benitez is defiantly up there for not getting hit. That's an overated comment in my opinion. If floyd fought in the 80's he would of got his clocked cleaned thats for sure. Without even going in to the elite, Pryor would of matched him for speed, Arguello for boxing ability etc..etc.. Ortiz, Hatton, De la hoya, Corrales, Castillo, Manfredy, Corley, Baldomir and a hell of a lot more fighters Floyd has fought of today,would not of been world champion in the 80's. He's good for today, but back then he would of got his arse whooped, certainly stating he's the best technically is a bold statement to make for there is no true great fighters of today for him to fight. |

sweet pea whittaker was technically better imo, and i would go as far to say that if zab judah had a better engine and focus he could have beaten floyd fairly handily. he boxed his ass off for 4 - 5 rounds in their fight. |

For a second I thought you were crazy to mention Dlh wouldn't be champ in the 80's but then I remembered him running away like a scared rabbit from Tito and it made me wonder. |

Its a 12 round fight, why is the credit not on Floyd for adapting to Zab, and he didnt box his ass off for 4-5 rounds at all. Whats Zabs engine got to do with it, he never showed any signs of gassing. Zab with a better engine and focus beats him handily, well Im going to give Mayweather one punch knockout power so he would of knocked Zab out it the first round now  |

For not getting hit, I'd say Benitez definatley.
Benitez got dropped a lot of times,plus his reflexes were not as razor sharp as that of Floyd. But I will give Benitez credit for how he outclassed Duran,but the Blueprint to beat him had been laid out already by Leonard. |

Sweet Pea for sure as far as defense goes. For timing and reflexes, it's worrying how many fans seem to have forgotten a prime Roy Jones. That guy was a freak in so many ways. It blows my mind at how many get so caught up in the Floyd hype when there is clearly others who have done things so much better. The best of Roy Jones Jr shits all over Floyd in so many ways. Same too with Whittaker in my view.
