Really looking forward to this one as I think it is a real test for kell and will give him great experience. To my eyes Matthew is not as blessed as his brother talent wise, but he has a remarkable, steely resolve and determination and he fights in a way which could it make it very tough for kell on the night.

Kell had such a long run with Frank ******, bashing up lesser fighters and when I have watched his recent fights I think he and his team know that his game needed refining to strengthen his fundamentals and his ability to pace a fight over 12. He has shown an excellent jab, good reflexes, the ability to see a counter and most all great patience.

I think Kell can stop Matthew and if he does I think it will give us a great indication of what he can go on to achieve. I think he can succeed where Alvarez failed because although Matthew went the distance with Canelo, the mexican was trying to make catchweight of 150 lb and failed and, imo, went on to look quite ragged at times so I think a note of caution is required when comparing the Saul Alvarez on that night with the one who went on to stop Ryan Rhodes, Alfonso Gomez and Kermit Cintron. Physically, he had matured more fully into the 154 lb division by then, but that's just my opinion.

I think Matthew will have his moments and will make it very hot in there for Kell but I think Brook will ride the storm and providing he can generate some distance, establish the jab and find the body; T think his class will tell over the second half of the fight. I think he will cruise to a dominant points verdict or maybe a late stoppage.

great post and i do agree somewhat.

i do feel though that matt hattons a live opponent compared to his last outing in america or a shaded n'dou.. we are talking about someone who wont fail to grit his teeth, so i see kell having to earn a points victory by way of SD.

Premier Inn next to the Arena still have twin/double rooms, at £80 a piece.  Not cheap, but I reserved one a while ago and that was £68, but cancellable.  If there's two of you £40 each is not too bad, and it's in the right location for the fight.
(Never forget, with Premier, if you just have the brass neck to tell them there was some noise from other residents in the corridor overnight and it woke you up, they'll refund the whole of the cost.  They will do, as well, I've done it.)

I only booked up the ETAP hotel last week and the room was £69 for the night as I had booked late.

Myself and my son will be there from about lunchtime onwards I guess, and we shall need refreshment!  No idea where at, but we're open to any suggestions.  A lot of the folk we know have gone for the VIP package and have a complimentary bar but we're not sure if any of them will have the charm and wisdom to get us in there too!   Grin
