Pacquiao on Fighting Marquez Again - Who Wants To See The Same Movie

Intresting little watch says they didn't do plyometric training because him and JMM are the same height and he admits they may have underestimated him.

I've believed myself that they underestimated Marquez to some extent after seeing him decked against lesser opponents. I think even if they had taken Juan seriously or if they were to square off again there wouldn't be much difference. Marquez has his number and I can't see Manny doing anything next time out to prove otherwise.

I would have thought his first 2 fights against JMM would have been reason enough not to underestimate him

I don't blame him to be honest. I think we all thought the same thing; JMM was past his best and if not there for the taking, then at least a less daunting prospect than in the previous two fights.

Hehe no comment Chuck. Wouldn't wanna stir up the Hornets nest now would I?  ;-)

All due credit to Marquez though, the guy is a brilliant fighter and had the balls to step in the ring with Manny not just once or twice, but 3 times and wouldn't hesitate to do it a 4th. Says alot about the man. Funny how we can't get that big mouth by the name of Floyd to do it even once. A true fighter. ( Juan Manuel Marquez) that is.

Agreed Mal.

Love the way he would take on a overweight Mayweather for his welterweight debut and a welterweight champion in Manny won't even fight an on weight Mayweather. Grin

tbh underestimating an opponent shouldnt be a valid excuse,

pacman is seasoned and pro enough to know you cant underestimate any1, people have been doing it to him all his career.

If you underestimate someone than thats a flaw on your part and u deserve to get punished for it. its equal in my eyes to not being arsed to train, not being skillfull enough.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

I agree Mal.
Marquez will take the 4th fight again even when he knows he won't get a fair shake with the judges. He will still fight, outbox him and then lose another decision. Evil
Sadly the other 147 guy will not settle for anything less than a fair shake.
So the Saga continues. Grin
