Aaron & Motoriser, IQ's fellas. I'm glad it was you'se who replied and seen the funny side. I dreaded seeing Dexter reply, he might have thought I was a hater or something. Must be to busy watching tapes of Floyd over and over.

*Jokes* Dexter :-)

I would have thought his first 2 fights against JMM would have been reason enough not to underestimate him

Hence my own belief that the very suggestion is a load of crap from Manny, and a poor attempt at trying to disguise the fact that no matter how well he prepares, he would always be faced with the same difficulties every time he faces Marquez.

It's gutting mate. Now he's scratching about fighting cesar cuenca, no wait, sergiy rabchenko.

The man had his crowning moment, out boxing his biggest rival completely and it was stolen away from him.

I agree mate, disgusting decision. Other then Motoriser, I'm the biggest Pactard on here and I was convinced and certain Marquez won it. I was shocked and annoyed when I heard the verdict, as too were alot of people who watched the fight of course. Marquez might have left the ring with his head down, he can raise it high now knowing the fans know who really won it.

It just wasn't a disgusting decision, total OTT rhetoric.  Both fighters were effective in the fight.  Pacquaio landed more, Marquez landed the easy-on-the-eye shots.  Marquez's face was a mess, he was getting hit - a lot.  Pacquiao was unmarked (butt-caused cut aside).  The difference in facial damage was not dissimilar (though less exaggerated) to Martinez-Macklin.  Macklin's face was a mess because, whilst the commentators would have you believe Macklin was causing Martinez problems, he was getting punched in his face every time they came together.  Just the shots were fast and sharp, so hard to spot.  Same with Pacquiao-Marquez.  Pacquiao throws sharp, short shots and they were finding a regular home.  Marquez threw much more deliberate combinations, the vast majority blocked or avoided, but the ones that landed produced "oooooh" moments.

A disgusting decision is the likes of what was happening in Salido-Lopez 2 when a judge had it a draw at the time of the stoppage.  Or Chisora getting robbed blind in Finland.  There's plenty of disgusting decisions.  Pacquiao-Marquez is not one of them.  It was a close fight and it depended on what you were looking for.

As a pacman fan and with Pacman tinted glasses on, I still thought JMM won by at least two rounds, there were 7 rounds he bossed. Maybe they were close but it was clear who the better fighter was.

There were 7 he bossed?  You're having a laugh.  There was perhaps 5 clear rounds in the whole fight (i.e. 5 where the score was obvious).  The rest were chess match stuff with Pacquiao pressing and Marquez [too carefully] choosing his moments.  Most of these rounds he failed to register a clean shot.  It was David Haye vs Valuev stuff, except Pacquiao was actually landing so Marquez's few shots a round just wasn't enough.

Delusional scoring on here.  After witnessing the reaction to the Martinez-Macklin fight, I see why.  People just can't spot punches that are thrown short and sharp.

I can't help that people are blind.  In one thread we have a laundry list of people saying Khan isn't world class and that Kell Brook deserves an immediate shot, we have a lot of people who thought that Macklin was "even" in his fight with Martinez until the knockdown, when Martinez was softening him up.  Then we have people who just won't admit that Pacquiao was getting to Marquez in a fight where at the end Marquez was bruised and swollen all over his face.  The truth?  I see petty shallow retorts come back but very little of substance.

Next you'll be telling me to believe in your one and only sky God, to just "have faith", because that's what the majority of arguments here boil down to.  "I believe this!"  Why?  "Because it's true!"
