Personally i think we'll be seeing jon jones step up to heavyweight in the not too distant future. He's certainly got the frame and reach to do it, not to mention the skill set.

Once he's swept aside Rashad and Dan Henderson he will move up.

I agree with Tuco, the heavyweight division is starting to shape up nicely. Cheick Kongo has been nothing but a pudding! not heard many people talk him up! Matt Mitrione should've beat him if he knew more after fighting. Pat Barry should've finished him off though Kongo showed great heart.

It's hard to see anyone coming close to beating Jones unless they catch him with a dream punch/kick.

Yeah.

I think Jones is far better over all than Silva even, he is just a freak.

He is so good because of his size and reach, it's so hard for fighters to get close to him.

But he is superb at knowing how to use it also which a lot of fighters do not.

I think it is safe to say that the likes of Liddell, Ortiz, Couture etc would not of been champions had this guy been around in their time, he is only 23 and I would be confident to say that.

Former Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem was denied a license to fight in Nevada after a lengthy hearing in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Tuesday. Overeem was supposed to fight UFC champion Junior dos Santos at UFC 146 in May, but his random drug test on March 27 revealed he had a 14-to-1 testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio, which is more than twice the 6-to-1 ratio allowed by the NSAC. Overeem will be allowed to reapply for a license on Dec. 27.

“I just found out this morning on the Jim Rome show,” White said. “I landed at 4 in the morning. Apparently, he got suspended for nine months. He said he was taking anti-inflammatory shots. Then you should have told the commission that before you went in and got drug tested. You don’t say it after you get busted for having elevated testosterone levels, period. It’s pretty simple. The rules are cut and clear. … I’m not an Overeem fan at all.”
