Bit morbid this, sorry guys

Just wondering, does anyone know any good funeral songs, or songs in general from a son to a mum? Or anything with a similar meaning. No prizes for guessing my mum died last week and im in need of a third song for the funeral, she had two she wanted and i am trying to find a good one

Cheers

It's really tough mate, I think it will be quite hard for anyone here to give you solid choices just because we won't have known your mum as a person - what she was like and how she was thought of, I would hate to give you just a general song. I can maybe give you some advice though? My mother was from Liverpool and a proud scouser so we decided to play 'You'll never walk alone' at her funeral. Try and find a song which captures your mum's essence and being! Smiley

Sorry to hear about your loss Hatton, I couldn't imagine what your going through and dread the day it happens to me!

Have no advice, but AndyE summed it up nicely.

Deepest sympathies to you and your family mate, sorry to hear of the loss.

Just try to think of what her favourite thing(s) in life were and then choose a song that mirrors that.

Sorry to hear about your mum. How old was she ? What kind of music did she like ?

I'm sure when you hear the song, you'll know in your heart that it's the right one.

Bless you man. 56 is so young. I'm sure it's very difficult right now and if you need to talk about anything on here, don't be afraid. We're all like Internet family.

Holding back the years, stars, are all the simply red numbers.

This Woman's Work, by Kate bush is a nice song. From your mums era.
