Sorry to hear of your loss I lost a parent when I was young there isn't been a day in 20 years I have never thought about it. Frank Sinattra - My Way is a decent song for a funeral or if your after something more sombre try Ronan Keating - When you say nothing at all.
One thing I have always heard at every funeral I have attended is that hymn I see the sunrise don't matter who's funeral I have been too that song always puts a tear in the eye.

i was wondering if this is too singy/too romantic? I need to submit the disc to the priest person tomorrow so i am frantically trying to get the right song. I like this one but there is a part of it where the signing gets really loud

I think that's a beautiful choice of song. I understand what you mean about the loud bit, but its a powerful song so i wouldn't worry too much about that. Think the words say it all. You like it so stick with it mate.
