I'm in the market for one of these to use around the house/in my gym but i'm not massively into audio equipment. Has anyone got one they would recommend?

I don't want to spend stupid money but i want a decent one.

The 2 i've looked at so far are the Klipsch iGroove HG:

and the Bose SoundDock

Cheers

I got one for a tenner about 3 years ago for my office at work. Still working perfectly to this day. USB powered, too. Think it's called iWant or something like that

I have a Bose one which is very good but then again they are not cheap, depends on the price I guess and if it's going to be your main one for home or just one for the garden or beach etc.

Honestly mate I wouldn't go mad, I've got a cheap pair (that i take on holiday) and a Bose docking station and the difference isn't as noticeable for the price especially if you are working away in your gym!

Funnily enough I've been looking today because I'm thinking about getting some.

There's some for sale at Comet at the mo - £59.99 from £99.99. Think they are Phillips.

I've just had a look at Comet, they have some good deals on at the moment.

Logitech S715i is now looking favourite as it's portable and has a built in rechargeable battery which means i'd be able to move it back and forth between house and gym without dragging the power cable with it. Won What Hi-Fi? best ipod dock up to £150 last year too.

You can get it for half that now. Only downside is it doesn't charge the ipod.

Bugger that! Doesn't even charge the iPod?

Just get a cheapish one. If you're in the gym all you want is some punch in the speakers, you don't need crystal clear sound. Save your cash pal

Zeppelin or Rcube by arcam meant to be the best.

Or simply by an iPod docking bay and use old stereo.

Don't own one myself but i've seen it in action, rather i've heard it in action and it's a great bit of kit.
