Who does everyone fancy for the National tomorrow? I've gone for:
Planet of Sound - 33/1 Shakalakaboomboom - 16/1

Not looked yet, will go out and get the papers in the morning, always let the kids pick theirs too and generally they win based on which colours their favourite are or which name they like best!

Going to have an e/w bet on black apalachi.
Think a lot of people will bet on shakalackaboomboom just because of the name which could drop the odds slightly.

I'm on Syncronised backed it in the Gold Cup so I think it as a good chance because if it stays it as a brilliant sprint finish. I backed it last week and managed to get 17/2 but I wouldn't be surprised if it went off at 4s with the McCoy factor. The Grand National is like a lottery though but one I will be having a small EW is Chicago Grey, Gordon Elliot is a shrewd trainer who as a great record at the meeting he as won it before with Silver Birch and I think he bypassed Cheltenham for this race so it as to be respected. I just drew Shakalakaboomboom in the works sweep stake but honestly until today had never heard of it.

I was tempted to go with Syncronised after backing it in the Gold Cup too. It was at 7's when I was putting some bets on earlier and thought I'd look elsewhere for a bit more value.

I don't see Syncronised drifting and 7s may be the best price you will get unless Betfair gets a few going against it. I honestly feel it will drop significantly tomorrow as many will go with McCoy because he is just heads and shoulders the best pilot.

I have a go in the office sweep and let the kids have go but it's such a hard race to pick a winner out of i'm surprised any regular gamblers go near it.
I'm not touching it.

I have Synchronised and Junior in the office sweepstake so avoid them like the plague because they will both probably die during the race or get put down after the race due to injuries picked up falling

I'll do a sweep stake but i won't gamble any money on the grand national, you need so much luck just for your horse come home let alone win! Just thinking if its possible we could have a livefight sweep stake on here?

I've gone for State of Play e/w at 66/1. He has been placed in his last 3 Nationals. He is slightly lower at the weights this year, but is getting older. However at 66/1, I think its worth a few quid, baring in mind his past success.
I've also gone for Giles Cross 25/1 and On His Own 14/1
