His answer was a bit strange, but it was also a daft question asking a millionair if he misses having no money and flash cars. Who would miss not having that when you can now afford anything he likes pretty much.

Interesting to note him try and palm a potential Martinez fight off and have Andre Dirrell do the job for him. But he's not fooling anyone. Martinez is undersized at 160, but he's been beating middleweights cos he's good. But no way should he go upto super-middle.

Providing Mayweather gets past Cotto, then Mayweather/Martinez is second only to a Manny fight in terms of interest. If not Pac or Martinez, then i really don't see who else is out there for Mayweather to face that'd have people interested.

Sorry Floyd, but Martinez is a man you should fight. Its an excellent battle and it'd be a fight where there would be some folk picking against you. Either at 154 which is a comfortable weight for both, or 160 for a shot to make some more history.

wow....he struggled through that interview, It reminded me of his very first interview with Merchant.

Amazing what can happen when you haven't memorized a script.

Thanks for posting that.....

The padwork routines are nice to watch, look flashy but they are just choreographed dance routines really. They aren't all that physically taxing though, not in the manner that pad routines can be.

The purpose they do serve, is they are a useful warm up exercise and get Mayweather in a groove and rhythm.

I've always wondered if Floyd does any proper hardcore pad routines designed to make the lungs burn when the cameras aren't there.

Its my understanding that he gets his fight conditioning from long sparring, 5mins+ rounds

Yeah, heard that myself. Rotates his sparring partners and really goes to town. Makes sense, its the closest thing to actual fighting there is. Shame most of that stuff is kept private though, with just the odd leaked bit of footage popping up ever now and then.

I don't like the f*cker, but its to his credit how hard he trains and how he's always in shape. Can't help but respect his work ethic in the gym.
